The military name evokes uniform but a nice utilitarian suit could be cool

one of the reasons i'd like Zod's suit resemble Superman's is because i like the idea of Clark basing the suit on Kryptonian fashion, specifically miltary or police. it would make sense to me, in a fictional utopian society, that military and police officers would wear tight fitting clothing to invoke a physically superior image. citizens would wear looser or wilder clothing for whatever reasons, but authoritative figures would wear tighter clothing not only to invoke a physical and moral superiority but also as if to say "we have nothing to hide".

Clark would look at the fashion of the civilians and like what he says, but then realizes that the entity he wants to take in is a peacekeeper and authoritative figure who not only is physically and morally superior, but also has "nothing to hide".

I would like to see something radically different. How about a crimson and black suit with a orange cape. Or metallic orange and black suit a with silver cape and brushed metal boots.

I am going to do a crimson and black with a grey cape

Man, for a second I thought you were talking about superman's suit and my head was going to explode

I wish there was no Zod about who's costume/uniform to argue.

has anybody posted this

Actually, if they are indeed inspired from the Birthright story, I would be ok with Zod having a costume along those lines, as in Birthright it is implied that the \S/ is not just a family symbol, but the symbol of the whole planet of Krypton, so as I said, could see Zod wearing a costume like that, representing Krypton as a General.

Prety good pic, Zionite.

It doesnt work for me though. I dont dig the red lines on the abdomen or the legs.

Give me the Superman returns suit with a bigger shield and lighter colors and im good.

I'm very curious about how they'll handle supe's costume this time.

Also I want the trunks. I need the trunks. Superman looks naked without it.

I could actually see Snyder going in this direction. Now it'd definitely piss MANY people off. But I feel that he'll either do something like this above drawing, or something that's unbelievably faithful. While I'd definitely prefer a traditional suit, this almost looks more like a uniform for duty, which is a little cool.

EDIT: Maybe a little too busy though. And if we're talking big departures from the traditional suit, I prefer the high collar suit from the guy who won the Superman drawing contest a while back (can't recall his username, too lazy to look).

Forget both of them please...

While I extend my highest regards to the manip-ers here... In the end I really want to see a reasonably faithful interpretation of the suit...
