i concede about the colors....muted colors make it look less tacky. i'm just not a fan of DARK colors since it makes it look like most of the renditions of Zod we've seen in movies, tv and comics.

does it still look like he "raided the X-Men First Class costumes"? hehe

Wow, two grown men going at it in underwear? And how exactly is DC hoping to best Marvel when it comes to movie representations of their characters?

MMA often shoes grown men going at it in underwear and it's the most watched/fastest growing sport right now.

Dude, he's a fan of a character who wears hairy diapers... And that's it. Oh and hairy boots.

hey, don't knock Conan...i'm really excited about that movie, hehe. me and conaniscool have had history and he's always thrown digs and challenges at me before. not sure what his deal is but hopefully he'll stick around for more than a few months this time.

Sorry I just didn't want to use keanu's head and thought it would be funny I was originally just going to use a blank head

I'm workin' on my Zod design. Gonna base it off my Superman design.

Excellent work! I like this design, but I would always prefer the traditional costume. I've been wanting to do some line drawings of Cavill as Superman myself, but I'm on finals week so I don't have much time to work on it. Great job though.

The more and more I look at Superman Returns behind the scenes.........the Suits general design works. Returns suits needs to simply be enhanced more so then discarded and start over. Seriously pop that collar down, increase the width of the cape width and bigger S and we are in business. The colors of the suit don't actually need to be fixed. Watch the behind the scenes and those browns are clear as day reds. In the original teaser, the suits looks far more vibrant. Singer just chose to put some damn brown filter over everything that killed the colors. Supermans suit isn't broken. It just needs to be tweaked. Snyder is Mr. Vibrance. He will make pitch black look vibrant.

Zod though is a who the hell knows. He has no established costume. But honestly I think we all agree that its gotta be the Russian Zod costume. There is no point in anymore of these redesigns. This isn't difficult folks. На колени перед Zod.

sorry but you thought wrong...i disagree. personally, i don't want to see Zod (or any Kryptonian costumes) looking like any uniforms or fashion that resemble Earth fashion.

added clasps and put mikes head on the body to help make it more serious

That's missing the point. Uniforms are standard-issue for a reason. They're used to identify the inmates, making them completely unique and easy to spot. This also makes it very difficult for them to escape or hide.

The Phantom Zone does not require this. Any and all individuals unfortunate enough to be placed there has no means of escape. That's why there are no facilities or bars in place. The entire world is their prison. As such, Kryptonians have no need of keeping an eye on them. Hence the complete uselessness of any standards to be imposed on the prisoners -- including uniforms.

Once they get to the Zone, then yes they could be wearing any kind of clothing, makeshift armor, etc. It would be very much like Escape from New York, but it's not like they captured Zod and then, ZAP! he's instantly sent to the Phantom Zone. He was tried, convicted and sentenced. He would be stripped of whatever medals, insignias, etc that he'd normally wear and then be banished to the Zone. He would not be in his full Kryptonian uniform. Must he be wearing a prison uniform? No, he could just be stripped down to the basics, but he definitely would not be going as a decorated General.

There is still need for creativity in this regard as I'm sure after some time in the Zone, the uniforms or any other clothing would be quite tattered, restitched, adornments added, etc. Look what they did most recently in Smallville, for example. Everyone had their own look, but you could tell at least most started with the "traditional" Kryptonian look of black top, pants and coat/cloak. It's open to interpretation from many angles but to say that the idea of a uniform is completely out of the question, just doesn't make any sense.

I trust Snyder to give us a faithful traditional suit. I'm not a fan of the numerous changes and re-designs.

The latest I think we'll see it will be at San diego comic-con, but it could be sooner. Henry has been working out full time for six weeks so at some point they'll need to fit him for finalized costume. IIRC Chris Hemsworth had to back off on his training regimen a little as it made his costume so tight it was cutting off the blood flow. I'm sure they have a good idea of how big they want Henry to get, so possibly they have a stand in that is close to that size in order to prototype the finished article prior to him being fully film ready?

btw I'd love for them to slowly reveal the costume over a number of weeks. One week perhaps a shot from behind ,over the shoulder cape picture in heavy shadow, the next a portion of boot and leg. Kind of a reverse (Superhero) strip tease lol. Finally they reveal the whole thing in an iconic setting/pose. A pose that looks dynamic & powerful. The initial SR poses looked very staid imo. This first picture needs to stop people in their tracks and have them say "WOW! F*** Yeah!

Pretty cool Idea, actually :yay:

When I see concepts of zod none of them just seem right. I would think that after spending years in the phantom zone, a prison, zod would appear run down. I dont know how to explain it. Kind of like what people always look like in a post apocalyptic movies. Gross, messy hair, filthy, almost like they are completely uncivilized. I don't want some clean cut, slicked back hair, well groomed zod. I want more of an aragorn from lord of the rings look. With tattered cloths to match. He doesn't have to be wearing rags, but at least look somewhat worn.
