wow this game is really violent. I wasnt expecting it to be as graphic as it is. So many decapitations and limb dismemberments just from using your weapons on people. I cant beleive Im saying this but Im finding it to be a bit much and over the top. Im surprised there hasnt bee much or any talk of it in the media, or maybe I missed it

It's not really a matter of whether or not people will imitate what they saw in Manhunt 2. The issue at hand was that people thought it was just plain in bad taste. It's the same reason why the guy who made 2 girls 1 cup got fined for distributing his films in the US. When you push the limits of common decency far enough, eventually there comes a point where the system starts to get in your way.

Also, Manhunt 2 wasn't technically banned in the US. Sony, MS, and Nintendo refused to allow it to be published on their systems because it was rated AO. If Rockstar wanted, they could have published it on the PC, but most stores would not have carried it, so it would only be available online for the most part. In other, First Amendment-free countries though (read: PAL territories), it was not so lucky, and ended up being banned outright.

Really though, the game was pretty sucky, so most of the outrage over its release getting delayed was kind of frivolous.

I was talking about the original Manhunt, the new one is ****. But the first one was brilliant IMO. It's one of the only games where the atmosphere is pitch perfect, and the story-line and the way the director is used was awesome.

Hmmmm I suppose you're right. But at the time, when I first played it, I was blown away.

Gory in that, every limb can be severed, heads explode, and occasionally with the Bloody Mess perk, they explode into a pile of organs and meat.

But it's not that realistic, imo, and it's too outrageous to be gross.

haha that sounds awesome! If it's so over the top like almost cartoony I don't see what the problem is. And I don't understand it when people complain that a game is too violent, the big red 18 or M on the box should give you a hint.

I <3 the Lincoln's Repeater, though .44 ammo is a lot harder to find then you would think it should be.

I haven't really used the Fat Man. I have like 4 mini nukes, I just don't know what to use them on.

I tried it on a Behemoth, but it didn't work well so I reloaded the save so I wouldn't waste the nuke, and used the Alien Blaster on the Behemoth instead.

Maybe I'll just save all my mini nukes until I get that experimental one that fires like 6 at a time.

I use it for groups of enemies....does great splash damage....

I used a couple of mini-nukes on a Behemoth once--he went up.. and then up again.. always standing. Strange behavior. But when he hit the ground again, he was dead.
