I didn't know about that until I actually wandered around the bow a bit, after I'd picked the main door. Either way, I got all the quest stuff done and now I'm at level 20 for the whole rest of the game, content to let Brotherhood of Steel guys or Charon do my killing for me while I rummage through desks and boxes for ammo without having to worry about getting those kills for XP.You could have just swam to the other bow of the ship. That's how I did that part of the survival guide, there's a door under the water.

Yeah, it's so ridiculous that it's funny more than it is gross. It's like those old zombie movies where people's guts get ripped out and their heads explode but you can clearly tell it's just a bunch of special effects nonsense. I mean, it looks more realistic than that in F3, but it's still so over-the-top that it's funny.Gory in that, every limb can be severed, heads explode, and occasionally with the Bloody Mess perk, they explode into a pile of organs and meat.
But it's not that realistic, imo, and it's too outrageous to be gross.
Scrounger perk, my friend. Scrounger perk. .44 ammo is never really abundant or anything, but I've got a solid supply of about 100 to 150 rounds for it most of the time.I <3 the Lincoln's Repeater, though .44 ammo is a lot harder to find then you would think it should be.
Right now I tend to switch to whatever weapon I haven't used before that I happen to find on a body, though. I had a minigun off of a Super Mutant for a while, but I just found enough missile launchers to repair one up to decent condition so I'm using that. It's quite fun blowing Yao Guai to smithereens, I have to admit.
