FF hasn't had an AMAZING game since VII imo. 8 was good, 9 was uninspired, 10 was atrocious, the basic premise of 10-2 made me want to self-harm etc.....but this has been a long time coming, if it's 3/4 as good as VII i might just wet my panties.

Bah, VIII was a great game, no just good.

As for the Advent Children comment, they're bringing out an extended version now. Annoying.

I wouldn't hold my breath that we're definately getting it. Advent Children was fairly niche. An extended version may get passed over.

It was a while before the original came to the UK after Japan.

The ones before 7 are good and all, but they are in the past. The past is something you should never dwell upon. Things change. Times change.

That's why 9 sucks so bad. It's like reverting all the damn good that 7 and 8 brought. It's taking a step back.

The only other FF games I rank below IX was X-2. FFIX was one of the worst in the series for me. I still enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as the others.

XII got Game of the Month on Game Informer, so it must be that good.
Plus, I'm an avid FF and General RPG fan.

I wish my brother never sold our PS2, without asking me byt he way, but I think I'm going to try borrowing my cousin's to play this game. I'm Final Fantasy obsessed, even though I didn't play XI because I don't like MMORPG's, but I must have this game.

How often can one say, "The wait was worth it" and truly mean it? When is it okay to claim that, "This is one of the best examples of [insert genre here] ever" and not just say it for cliché's sake? But most importantly, when does a game with momentous hype and anticipation actually live up to media, consumer, and competitor expectations? The answer to all three of those questions is a simple one, "When you're playing Final Fantasy XII."

The opening paragraph sold it to me. That said, it's Final fantasy. I was sold years ago.
