Why can't there just be a one book run called Flashpoint? Through in as many characters as you want. Why sprawl the story out across so many books? That is more confusing than LOST.

Because elseworld/what-if stories are awesome just like zombie stories are! Geoff Johns can write events within the main book withouth the need of tie-in issues, tho some of them just enchance the reading experience.
