If Flash 12 leads into Flashpoint 1 then it makes sense to put the series on hold until Flashpoint is over.

Precisely. And if nothing's changed Flash #12 and Flashpoint #1 come out the same day.

I'm pretty sure that means it will pick up with 13 after Flashpoint is over. The sales aren't bad enough and the reviews aren't terrible, so I see no reason to permanently cancel it.

I mean, that actually makes sense, but this seems pretty blunt:

He doesn't say 'on hold', or the final issue for now, he says the "final issue." And the other link says 'the end' of the series. It makes little sense, unless they're planning to relaunch with triple digits afterward

I doubt that they will go with triple digits since if you count all the Flash issues released and those solicited, it would end at what should be issue #622.

Well, yeah, maybe should, but I think we both know it wouldn't be all that difficult to shift that around to make more or less to make an even number.

Now that I think about it, DC renumbered Adventure Comics at a completely random number with issue #516.

It would be awesome if DC gave Flash its original numbering back, especially since Barry originally just contined on from Jay's numbering.

Yep they will probably just go back to the original nunbering like Wonder Woman did when Flashpoint is finished

But Wonder Woman went to its original numbering when it should have hit issue #600. I would love to have the Flash go back to its original numbering, but they should at least wait until Flash #650 or Flash #700.

Like I said, though, it's not that hard to skimp and shave around to alter those numbers. You're being too literal with the idea.

But it's kinda impossible to shift around the Flash's numbering. Even if you take away the numbering from Bart's series, DC is still way to high to get close to an even numbering without looking flat out stupid.

Well, I don't know if I'd say way too high. It's at, what did you say, 622 with it? Taking away those 12 issues put it down to 610. I'm sure you can find a way to shave over 10 issues.

What Marvel has done by constantly renaming books and relaunching them such as ignoring Journey into Mystery issues after Thor disappeared due to Heroes Reborn for Thor #600, or ignoring the issues of Incredible Hercules, the first six issue Hulk series, and issues of Hulk that now stars Red Hulk for the Incredible Hulk, or ignoring the first 78 issue Captain America series for Captain America #600.

A renumbered Flash would only work the way renumbering Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Avengers, and Wonder Woman did, by simply adding them all up because there is no massive gap that you can just disappear or constant title changes.

And even then, it looks pretty stupid that Marvel forgot to add in the six issue Incredible Hulk series, the 78 issue Captain America Comics series, and the 19 issues of Journey into Mystery after Thor left.

No. Minis really don't count when it comes to renumbering.

Well, I'm sure there's some way to flux that around somehow. If we take out Bart's book, that's only a ten issue difference to 600. I am almost certain they would do it in some way if that is actually the plan.

Maybe something like take out Bart's series, and this new series (under the rational that it was only meant as a long lead-in to Flashpoint) and add in Waid's issue zero and 1/2 issue as part of the numbered series. Should break an even 600 without a whole lot being taken away.

If they didn't count Wonder Woman's zero issue they shouldn't count the Flash's . I'm very picky and anal when it comes to my comic book numbering. Also, Bart's book is 13 issues and Barry's second book is 12. Take those away and you would also have to count the Flash #1,000,000 in order to have #600 with that logic. I don't like it

Oh, I thought it was 12. But, yeah, that could be done to cover that gap. I'm just showing an example of how it can be done fairly easily without huge amounts of gapping or anything. I know your anal about this stuff and all, but DC and Marvel aren't in the slightest.

Well, they could always go with issue #351 too, although I'm all for adding up the numbers from all the series and starting at 622 or whatever.

Also, although they "renumbered" Adventure starting with 515, they actually had double numbering on all the Adventure issues before that one, so all they really did was dump the new numbering and continue with the old numbering (which they should have done from the start tbh).

Yep thought it over this weekend and I am not going to buy into this mini unless it has an effect on what happens with Superman. My hate for Barry and Johns (for what he did to the Superman and Superboy series leaving while in the middle of two big story arcs he started) just runs too deep right now.

Because they're trying to make you believe that there might be a chance that there is no more Flash after Flashpoint...

What makes me upset is when asked about Wally West in Flash point they refer to Kid Flash lost in time. If they are serious about that than I am even more upset.
