JAK: And you didn't know what I had in mind either. Now read my post and once again try to talk against me. And do mention Spider-Man as an example of an entertaining and fun film, please.

Spider-Man is an entertaining and fun film. I don't understand how you think that description equates to "stupid, childish film with no drama".

It has serious moments? Of course it does! That's storytelling. Did you honestly think that I want every moment of the Flash to be tongue in cheek and without danger?

All I've been saying this whole time is that I want a Flash film that has a tone similar to Spider-Man.

It is, frankly, baffling that it is so difficult for you to understand what I meant.

But what do you think about the fight? Is it too violent to suit the tone of the scarlet speedster. Should they avoid such scenes to let the film to be more fun?

JAK: You are afraid to make a choice that will come back later and bite you.
But I already know what you prefer: the comic book made into a film, as it is, with no changes... this for the sake of the film. The faithfulness weights in more than the quality of the actual film.

I think this is a hilarious statement. It's not like you gave him a life or death situation. If he says he would like one or the other we'll either agree, disagree, or shrug it off. But really, Jak is right. There's no reason you can't have a faithful adaptation as well as a good film. There's also no reason you can't have a fun movie with serious moments. I mean, if this was an adaptation of "The diary of Anne Frank", I wouldn't expect a fun movie. But for the Flash, absolutely, it should be very enjoyable.

Check this out you gusys! Found this over at DeviantArt by this guy named Daniel-Morpheus!

He made a fan art of Bradley Cooper as The Flash!!

Check out his other work here,

I'm thinking they make take inspiration from Captain America's headgear for the mask/cowl.

Nice, but a bit too busy. I think the Flash uniform should be one texture throughout on the red. any decoration aside from the logos and the gold in the belt and ears should be from the lightning and electricity arcing off of him, not the uniform itself. Good art though, I like his coloring.

Flash has one of the best costumes out there for one reason: it's SIMPLE. So for the movie, it's best to just keep things simple.

It's too stiff and armoured looking. It doesn't look comfortable to run in at all.

This is closer to what Flash should wear:

He does not need armor, because he can dodge gunfire. The benefits of a more protective suit are outweighed by the decrease in mobility.

Flash/ Barry Allen - Bradley Cooper: Yes, I see it. I think he'd be good, but I want Barry Allen for the first film NOT Wally West. I like Wally, but I'd rather save him for a sequel perhaps.

Jay Garrick - Tim Matheson: I kind of like the idea that the first Flash acted a bit like Otter from Animal House before he got older

Iris West (Allen) - Minka Kelly

Captain Boomerang - Ray Winstone

Captain Cold - Daniel Craig

Weather Wizard - John C. McGinley (I'm not saying this many for one movie)

Trickster - Zach Galifanakis (or maybe just an excuse to post this...hmmm....)

Professor Zoom - Ben Foster

I think you need all three for the first movie, just to show what their relationship is to the whole thing. His rogues go together so well they practically are one entity.

Not really digging that cast except Winestone FOster and Craig in their role

Looks like Tron: Legacy's Lightsuits.

I like it.

And that's why I dislike it.

As others pointed out above, Flash does not need a costume that looks like armor. He needs a costume that looks flexible and comfortable, and built for speed.

The electric arcs are a nice touch, and I'd genuinely like to see that bit in the movie --- becoming more pronounced as he attains greater speeds --- but yeah, otherwise, keep the costume simple and authentic.

This is one of those rare occasions when spandex *is* the right choice for a superhero costume. :woot:

Basically Spider-Man's costume is what's needed. When it comes to these characters, ergonomics and being lithe are what they're about.

Dont think I've seen a film were Winstone has convincingly pulled off an accent that wasnt cockney - guys in danger of becoming a charicature of himself [if he isnt already!!].

Weirdly enough, whenever I try to do a cockney accent - it sounds Australian. :D

I don't want "armor" for the Flash. I don't like it on Batman either. (Batman has a great costume but it will apparently never be in a movie) Never understood why the audience can believe super heroes exist during a movie but then suddenly it's assumed we can't believe Batman could survive without armor and the Hulk can talk. I mean...come on....we bought a ticket for a friggin' super hero movie here! James Bond has managed to survive without armor for decades and no one bats an eye.

As stated, the Flash can dodge any trouble easily. It makes no sense to put him in something that would take away from his power....speed.

Maybe the tone of the Spider-Man movies is why his costume works so well onscreen. There has to be a way to be serious without being "dark". Spider-Man certainly pulled it off. Maybe Sam Rami should direct the Flash movie? ;)

I've heard people talk about Raimi for The Flash... It might could work. I think he could probably do a better Wally-Flash than Barry, but who knows.

The fact we haven't gotten a solo Flash animated movie is disappointing. :(
