I love both Wally and Barry as Flash (Barry is my favorite) but not having Wally makes it weird for me to read. Just not the same anymore.

they're better off introducing him after instead of sticking him in with the rest of the cluster ****.

I hate to bring up the dreaded topic of a shared universe but what about having someone like Bruno Manhiem supply the rogues. It would be a simple way to connect Flash to MOS.

I'd rather Cold create his weapons. Everyone else, why not.

Marc Guggenheim, who co-wrote the Green Lantern and the Flash movies/screenplays, was at Comic-Con and said the situation at this point is that the Flash movie might be made as a spin off movie after a Justice League movie (he starts talking about it at about the 4:45 mark) :

Lets be fair, whatever DC/WB decide to do with the ultimate fail that is the JL movie, they'll always be looked down upon for copying what Marvel did with Avengers.

I think making JL is just an awful idea if they can't even get their **** together for one hero.

By like... Three people.

No, I think its fair to say they will eat criticism for "copying Avengers." Now whether this criticism is a passing thing or a rousing condemnation depends on if its good or not. If its a good movie, no one will mind if it copies Avengers.

Its just getting to that "good movie" bit that's the tricky part.

*APPLAUSE*

Story-wise, it IS better to have solo films first. But reality doesn't work that way.
Atleast not Warner Brothers' reality.

I mean they've been talking about JL since when? 2008/09? Now we're looking at 2014? Which means we're looking at 2015/16 for any spin offs to come out of it. Thats if it does well and doesn't get bashed to hell.

Don't make JL. It's that easy. Pimp the ****ing **** out of any hero, hammer out a good script and make it. They could have done that with GL, but no. I think they kinda need to try something and out of all of the DCU, I can only think of Flash as their next bet. Well, that or do a proper Jonah Hex western, but thats screwed because of the last movie.

Even if they start with solo films that build to a JLA film they'll probably still get bashed for "copying Marvel". At this point all I can say is who cares? The path Marvel did worked for them. Nothing wrong with using a model that works.

I don't understand your anger... The writer's strike and budget ****ed them up the first time so... They shouldn't try again?

There is only one way i can say about the Flash movie- Get the damn movie made studios were tired of the same **** out now.
There is only one person i can think of who fits the charm, wit, strength, looks, charisma, ability to play action against forces of evil and has the right everything to play Barry Allen and that is Jensen Ackles. (Look at Supernatural) He is my first and only choice to ever play this character to the fullest and best like he does as Dean in the series.

Cast Jensen as Barry Allen and here is a short idea to make it better:

During the lightning storm, Barry is attacked in the office by two thugs who tie him with a electrical cord and starts dumping stuff on him not knowing what they are. It is raining and lightning outside. They are looking for a certain thing. They beat Barry up trying to pry the information from him ties to this chair. When they are done, they drag him into the closet and lock him inside when a fire starts. Barry breaks free from the closet and attacks the two men and during this, starts having nightmares and visions of a strange energy and red cloak attacking him. Free from the closet, he grabs a cord and then the lighting hits him, traveling through a video screen and into his body electricuting him. He is found by his assistant and rushed to the hospital.

CHRIS PINE IS THE FLASH. END DISCUSSION. FIN.

WB/DC are idiots. They are planning a JL movie for 2015, and spinoffs after that. A Spinoff would take at least 2 years to finish, 2017. By 2017, Marvel will have made 10-12 great films. DC is going to fall so far behind.

Man of Steel, Arkham City 3, Teen Titans Go, Beware the Batman, Green Lantern TAS, Young Justice, Lego Batman, and Arrow will all get crushed under a barrage of Marvel movies. What WB/DC needs to do is get people who know what their doing, who know the comics, and focus on making a good movie, not on selling merchandise like they did with the disaster Green Lantern movie.

If they start now:

2013- Man of Steel
2014- The Amazonian Princess, The Scarlett Speedster
2015- King of Atlantis, The Emerald Knight
2016- The Caped Crusader, Man of Steel 2
2017- Hall of Justice

It's time to get the ball rolling imo.

Yeh, I don't really care what DC/WB have planned in the long run. It's either ******** or doomed to failure. Just make some movies and make money off them, it's that easy.

Never read a single page of The Flash comics, so haven't got much knowledge of his universe, but I love the character from the animated series. I, obviously, therefor vote for Wally West, big time!

One thing I think is important in a live action film, is that they don't try to elaborate too much on the workings of his powers, and stay miles away from this speed force thing (coming from an outsider; trust me, it sounds cheesy)

I think it's best if they leave how he got his powers a little lamp shaded, IE there was an accident on a lab, and he doesn't remember much. Things are often best left to the audiences imagination.

Another thing that is important for the film, is to make his speed something spectacular and cool! The directing of the special effects here are crucial for the film, I think.

All in all, the best path for the film would be something in-between Iron Man and The Amazing Spider-Man. This films needs humor! :D

Even though I dont want them to. I can see the speed force getting dropped in the film

I just hope that when thwy do Flash they make sure to go for a runner's physique. And a swimmer for Aquaman.

Jack Ryan? What relevance is Jack Ryan to anyone or anything now?
