Very cool look for Reverse Flash. I like it a lot.

Ryan Gosling is the best choice for Flash by the way... just want everyone to know that. Despite it being plastered across these boards almost daily

It would have to be directed by some very artsy fartsy avant type for him to consider it.

The Flash
Directed and written by Rian Johnson
Music by Cliff Martinez
Starring
Ryan Gosling as Barry Allen
Emma Stone or Jessica Chastain as Iris West

Can you dig it Terry?

 Ad infinitum.

Although I can also see Chris Pine working but I just don't see it happening because he's Kirk.

Gosling is my first choice though. FTW

Barry Allen needs his movie, *****es! Come on, WB!

I think this is great Redesign of the Flash with the Goggles.Just repace the gloves, boots, and symbol with the classic and we should be good to go.

I personally dont see Ryan gosling as flash-Jake Gyllenhall I get though

It pains that Antman is further along than Flash further pains me that it actually looks good whilst DC doesnt know what to do with Flash.

No goggles/visor (he's not Ant man!!), the classic logo and gold boots are a must. They're staples of the character, dude! Idk WHY they always give Flash eye pieces. I HATE that. Change the cowl and it doesn't even look like the character.

They need to stay as close to the comics with him visually as they can yet make it cool at the same time (Iron Man - but NO armor!! That does NOT mean armor for The Flash!!!).

I am of the mind set than any heros look is subject to modification as long hes still instantly recongnisable.
I like goggles on Flash,I think it looks better than lenses or the more recent no eye piece look IMO.I like the goggles as it gives him a sleek Matrix look. And goggles dont make him Antman.

Agree on boots and logo not because they are classic but because they look better.

Id also like for them to ditch the change by ring transformation. Its not bad but Its always something I felt best suited to GL.If they go with the cool goggles look Id like him to transform using Shades

A Matrix look? For The Flash? ABSOLUTELY NOT! The Flash has NEVER had "goggles" or "shades" over his eyes to begin with. They should be left exposed or he should have little "white" lenses over his eyes, and I mean real little ones. But I have a feeling that would look stupid in live action, because they tried it with Batman and it didn't work.

I don't mind whether they have the ring or not, but if the costume comes out of something, it had better be his ring, not a pair of shades. I will flip **** if they make his costume jump out of shades. Flash does not need "cool goggles", they make his suit look clunky instead of sleek and fast like it already looks. He isn't Cyclops.

They need to keep him close to his comic book costume for this. Every "change" or "tweak" I've seen so far have sucked. He also needs his waist lightning trim around his belt area in that pic.

No thanks to any of that.

The Flash movie seems to be a no-brainer to me. I mean, if they did Green Lantern, the Flash is 10x easier to make and is far more commercial. His power is more relatable and he is more well known than GL.

Rian Johnson directing and Joseph Gordon Levitt starring...BLOCKBUSTER!

They should make time travel an element of the movie...

the flash costume is extremely hokey looking in live action (u see the 90s tv series?)....they should make it mostly black with some red and yellow....not totally red and yellow.

The costume is an easy explanation....any other clothing rips apart at high speeds. he sees a high performance skiing or speed skating suit in a window and decides that is what he needs. is mostly black with some red and yellow.

in the first part of the movie he doesn't need a costume since he is so fast no one can see his face anyway. it's only when they catch him on film and the bad guy threatens his friends does he realize he needs a costume.

Yes, like that red Spider-Man costume and that bright blue Superman costume.

What's wrong with you? :wow:

Not a chance in hell. The tv suit looked great for its time, they just need to do The Flash suit out of modern materials. Changing the overall look and colors however is a BIG no-no. That's what makes him THE FLASH. The red and gold suit with the "handles"/bolts or whatever on his head are a MUST.

chatterbot: I have been thinking, and I hope you don't feel sad bc we are against your opinion about the suit. I feel bad if you think it's personal.
Just write more posts about other sujects regarding the hero :)

Yes, it truly did. Much better than the Cap suit from the same time. In fact, it was not far behind Burton's Batman

Flash has the best superhero costume in my opinion and the 90's show proved it even more with that TV budget and it still looking awesome.

I wouldn't say it's the best, but I do think it's one of the few costumes that you could transfer to the big screen exactly as it is without it looking campy.

I still say an all black body suit with some red and yellow thrown in is the best. an adult man wearing the costume looks ridiculous in real life.

superman is so powerful that he can wear whatever he wants...his new costume looks much better imo and it can be explained by his alien origin. i'm not sure why spiderman's costume works even though it's the same as the comics. it does work imo. but, look at wolverine and the x-men...they have more realistic costumes.

the flash doesn't need a costume unless it is functional. and what normal man wears the flash costume out in public? he shouldn't have any costume until the end. in the end he can wear a suit made out of special material so that it doesn't rip apart. it should be form fitting so it is aerodynamic. the color should be mostly black...not flaming red. if u r going to wear a body suit in broad daylight i think most men would be more comfortable if it were black...not bright red.

Man of Steel costume looks great.

X Men First Class, blue and yellow looked great.

Captain America (except for the helmet shape) was great.

Amazing Spiderman was great.

Red Flash will be fine.

There's many different materials to choose from so that it doesn't look like a man in a spandex halloween costume.

Could you elaborate on why you think it doesnt work? Just saying so doesnt make it so no matter how many times. The Flash still has the greatest superhero costume ever and even when done badly on a small budget was damn cool.

:barf:

I don't get the "black = realistic/believable" mentality. Where does that even come from and why do people think that "works" or adds "believability"? Because it doesn't at all. It's a trend and fad if anything. "Most heroes on the screen where black, let's make everyone's costume black even though there isn't an ounce of black on it and the character's a good guy to boot". Besides, the guy's name is The FLASH in case you forgot, his suit is supposed to be flashey. :whatever: Hell, look at Kick-Ass. Bright costumes, AND a kid sidekick! But it also works and people liked the movie. The Flash should be a cake walk.

Also, no normal person wears any of these suits. One is just as far fetched as the other. Nobody dresses like Batman or Cyclops in real life, so you can apply that to any character, even the ones you like.

You can't eff with The Flash's uniform. The red and gold suit is a must. Make it crimson and make the gold shiny. Make the ear pieces almost look sharp like they do in the comics and have them be reflective. That would be so awesome. And don't put lines or armor all over him either and make it look too busy like TDK suit. Don't make it look "cheap" either like TASM suit ("Spalding-Man", looked like a kid put it together, but I get it, that's what it was supposed to be) . He's got to look like THE FLASH.

Definitely. I think The Flash's costume is at least in the top 5, if not the top 3 best designed suits ever.

Spider-Man is up there, but I am thinking The Flash is above even that, IMO. The color scheme and look is perfect. Like I said before, The Flash's suit is so great the one or two changes they made to it over the years have been so minimal, even the New 52 suits, out of all the redesigns, The Flash looks the most like his old self. All they did was put little lines on him and gave him a chin strap lol. (practically unnecessary if you ask me, I think the only reason why they did that is because Jim Lee was doing everyone else's, so he figured "well ****, better put my little 'touch' on The Flash as well"...even if it was unnecessary - but hey, they gotta sell toys and **** so whatever, I'm just happy it wasn't too radical in comparison with the others).
