The Official G.I. Joe Products and Merchandise Thread

Now THATS what i'm talking about! Btw, anyone notice Storm Shadow's boots? their like long combat boots. no Payless crap. w00t!

Zartan is a a bit of a let down, guess i have to wait and see how he's fleshed out on screen

Good to see Timber included with that Wave 2 Snake Eyes!

Still crossing my fingers to see a glimpse of Timber in the movie...

They don't look too bad, but I don't care for the giant, gimmick, action-feature guns they come with.

The first Scarlett figure has a pretty ugly looking head sculpt.

More excited about figures for Resolute.

Hmm well, that's Mattel not Hasbro unfortunately.

And Hasbro generally likes to stick with the 4 inch or 12 inch scale. Sigma 6 was the first time they tried something different with the series in years (well there was extreme but that was failure/suck).

The problem with movie masters is crappy accessories.

I for one am SOOO excited for the fact that theeis an actual....G.I. Joe......friggin' movie coming to the silver screen and its 2009....it's unreal..feels like a dream.

HOWEVER I am so worried about this movie being a giant piece of **** :( I'm even more excited for movie based figures....again, still worried that they would be ...well...little pieces of ****.

From what I have seen some of the figures look beautiful! IF...that's a BIG IF they are actually like that in the damn movie...I hate movie figures that aren't representative of their onscreen counterparts..it's just a real piss off.

From what I have seen of the vehicle assortment the figures are just repaints which really really angers me....I mean the damn company MUST have the designs for the friggin' movie. Unless they do and are aware that there are repaints and its obviously then about trying to get the most money from everyone out there i.e.--having some vehicles that aren't in the movie and then much later on having vehicles that ARE in the movie...who knows...I know that over at www.toynewsi.com there was a audio clip of some dudes from the Joe Hasbro team saying how they are going to make characters that do not appear on screen just to make the toy line more expansive....

...BUT one of the 'suits' said that the Underground Mole type Cobra vehicle will play a big part in the film but the driver figure for said vehicle is obviously a repainted Croc Master figure.....sigh.....geezus christ that pisses me off :whatever:

There is no excuse for Hasbro being lazy...I mean if this is one of their most coveted most precious sacred cash cow lines that is loved and has been loved for generations what do they do when a big budgeted tentpole summer blockbuster movie based on the property comes out? Well...repaints naturally :whatever:

The Resolute figures and cartoon is what is really exciting me...the designs look awesome...LOVE the Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper and Duke figures that have come out so far...(heck, they even tried to repaint the Resolute Duke and stick in with an old Joe mini tank and pass him off as a new character from the movie...see? SEE? That is the **** I'm talking about!)

Either way I think I may just wait to see the film this time instead of being my usual impetious self and purchasing figures I'll regret because they weren't even in the film.

Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow Duke in desert gear and General Hawk look awesome though! :D

I actually kind of like the coat on Snake Eyes. Reminds me a bit of The Midnighter's costume.

And yeah, I'm hoping that Stormshadow DOES have boots instead of those stupid white Keds.

Hmmm... well, it looks like they might do okay with Destro.

God, I hate the stupid armored-plating suits they have! This is "G.I. JOE" not "X-Men!" :cmad: Shipwreck looks stupider with that armor than in his sailor shirt.

Unfortunately it seems they don't get the message. :csad:

The merch for this movie is looking pretty good so far. It seriously annoys me that a 3.75" action figure can cost $8.00 these days though! Just a year or two ago I was able to pick up Sigma 6 figures for about that much, and they were roughly 4x bigger. I guess we can blame the recession for this one.

Any pics of the resolute figures yet?
