I still havent read the Gambit & Storm one-shot!

Hope some gigantic hardcover of Curse of the mutants comes out... thats the only way Im gonna read all the small one-shots here and there

I have to go to work right now, but if I have time tomorrow, I'll scan the whole thing and post it. It's only four or five pages long and not the whole book so I don't see why there would be a problem with it...

Im so itching for a Gambit fix, its not even funny. I cant beleive Marvel is just wasting him away the way they have the past few years. I just posted in the Marvel part of this forum, that Id love it if he joined the New Avengers. I think I could see him fitting in well over there. At least he will be featured in the coming months of X-23 but I want more. I really wish they took the time and effort to try and make him feel relevant again

So much irony in that panel (being that it's entirely true that Gambit and X-23 are both characters that have been mistreated lately... by the writers).

If he had a solo, I could so see X-23 being his sidekick, the way Jubilee was for Wolverine. I hope we see more of these two in the future, outside of her series, working together. I hope Liu establishes them as having a close relationship after this bc I like the idea of them being allies and having each other's back

Eh. It's a fun little Gambit action story, with Gambit getting to be... well, Gambit. So it doesn't bother me too much. Not a lot you can do in 8 pages.

The monologue is the killer, though, since it really does explain exactly what the X-Office needs to do with Gambit and Rogue. But they don't do it. Sigh.

Well it was one of those little issues that collected a few quick stories and was marketed for a quick sell. Can't do much in 8 pages.

I don't usually buy these sort of books just because the stories are often lackluster. I just saw Gambit and lost control...

I wonder if that inner monologue is setting things up for what's in store for Gambit's future. Although I don't think things ever were dull or routine for Romy, I think Rogue's back and forthing is getting on Remy's nerves and I have a feeling the X office would like to set him free after one last torturous love triangle from Carey. At least one can hope....

He looks like... well, Gambit.

He's gone with an all black bodysuit before - only difference here is that he's sans the duster in the picture... and it's unlikely that lasts. Artists have tried to take the duster out of play before, and he inevitably gets it (or a similar jacket) back soon enough.

The teaser I've seen doesn't appear to have any finger "holes" cut in his gloves... which'd certainly make using his powers difficult.

The Hellion re-design (the other AoX reveal) is right on the border of the "are you guys freaking serious" category.

I like our boy in black, but he looks out of porportion in that picture. And he needs the trenchcoat! And what is that gun/staff???? I mean, what's the point of him having a gun when he can kinetically charge anything and make it explode on impact? Like the hair/bandana thing-very AoA!

The coat's really not a necessity (and you'd think a big loose jacket would actually be more of a hindrance to a thief than anything else)... but it's effectively become a part of the character at this point. It'd be like seeing Cyke without his visor on a regular basis.

I'm not entirely sure what the gun/staff thing is. One side looks like it's the beginnings of an old style rifle, the other side looks like a standard... stick? I guess we'll have to see the rest of that picture.

Emmymae making a rare visit. I haven't seen enough of him lately. He doesn't have many lines either when he does appear. The art in that story looks bad. The Gambit/Storm one-shot was pretty awesome. I am still a Romy fan so I miss the lovey moments. The good thing is I love Rogue as much as him so at least I'm happy with the big role Rogue has been getting.

As for that shotgun Gambit has in Age of X, that's pretty cool. He looks like he's gone backwoods. And yeah, he does need that coat. And what about his whole Death-persona issue? Is someone going to do something about that sometime soon? Sheesh. Remy's getting left in the cold in the main issues.

Carey has reportedly told other writers that he intends to address the Death thing and to leave it be... But of course hes too busy fawning over Rogue to actually do any legit writing.

I do wonder what plans -- if any - they have for our boy as he visits in X23's book. Hope he gets some development there seeing as how he's pretty much being ignored everywhere else.

I am so excited to buy that series. I'm desperate for some Gambit action. Looks like he's going to be a mentor! That's just awesome. That reminds me of the issue in Gambit series 4 when he has to babysit those students.

Yeah, that was one of my favorite issues as well. I like Remy as a squad leader or at least having some hand in the training of the young ones. He has a lot to pass on to them and he's still pretty young at heart. I'd love to see him as a permanent team leader someday.
