With the introduction of Deimos,it makes some parts from GoW3 make more sense.
towards the end when Zeus tells Gaia that since Kratos failed her and that she should "have chosen the other". Also when walking through the darkness, near a puddle of blood he hears a voice say "A spartan never lets his back hit the ground. Right, brother?" and "Don't leave me again, Kratos!"

His brother was actually voiced by Elijah Wood in the third game.

Anyone get that God of War collection? Just got it off of Amazon. I already own them but had to buy them over due to the better graphics.

Many of us got it when it first came out. Great purchase at $40, even better at the BF prices. You wont be dissapointed

Right on!

I borrow my sister's PS3 when I want to play the few PS3 games I have, I'm waiting for the system to drop in price. I don't play video games nearly as much as I used to so I don't want to pay full price. I mainly want the system since I bought God of War III, Batman Arkham Asylum and I want Legend of the Guardian and the new MK.

Another price drop won't happen for a long time. Better off getting a bundle now since this is the only time of year that good ones come out.

I'll have to check it out during the Christmas sales.

Been playing Ghost of Sparta for the past few days. SOOOOOOO MUCH better than Chains of Olympus.

Ya know what I'd wish they would do? Make the weapons and powers seen in the PSP games available for DLC for GOW III.

I'd love to use the Arms of Sparta in the third game.

Finally got Ghost of Sparta for my PSP Go and i have to say....DAMN!!!!! These graphics look amazing it feels like playing a PS2 game i hooked my psp up to my TV in my room (only 24 inches) and it looks gorgeous!!! I am really enjoying the game.

3 is almost a perfect game for me. It makes a PlayStation 3 worth the purchase.

I was kind of let down by 3... It wasn't a BAD game but I was left with a "that's it?" feeling...

It was more of the same and didnt really do anything new and spectacular. It was good but it wasnt as impressive as the previous 2 were at the time of their releases

I was fine with the gameplay, but didn't like the story at all. I just tend to think that, from a storyline perspective, GOWII & III never happened.

You just have to get this game because of its Epic Boss Battles except for Zeus which was a big disappointment

The gameplay, battles/set-pieces were astounding but the story did let me down somewhat at the end.

I can't believe I missed the chance get the Phantom of Chaos and Forgotten Warrior costumes on PSN.

Why does Sony have to be a prick like that?

I had never really played 1 or 2, but 3 was pretty damn awesome. Not exactly innovative, but straight up badass.

The first game was the best followed by the seccond. GoW3 is a good game but its the worse in the main series

I didn't think 3's plot was so horrible. Yes, the selfish jerk catches feelings. But he had a soft spot for Pandora, and up until then, she'd been the only ally who hadn't ended up trying to kill Kratos. Don't find the twist with Pandora's Box any more silly than saying he's Zeus' son, either. That's just the original myth at work.

The plot wasnt horrible. The presentation jsut wasnt as good. All the other GoW games, including the PSP titles were pretty much self contained tales with a beginning, middle and end (although GoW2 had more beginning and middle with a cliffhanger ending). GoW3 was all end. That really turned me off from the getgo. It picked up exactly where GoW2 left off and as such on its own, itdidnt feel as fleshed out or developed as the other titles were. Kratos' motives seemed alot more shallow, selfish and it was harder to relate to him. It played out as the final conclusion to GoW2, not standing up well on its own. The game was more heavy on the action and epic moments and lighter on the story as most of that was already presented in GoW2.

But I think that was the point of the game it's the beginning of the end this was the last chapter in the series and I think Santa Monica studios did a wonderful job at that

I know and I appreciate that it was what they were going for. But with that said, it was the primary reason why the story didnt grab me as much as the other entries did

That wasn't the problem at all. The problem was that was completely nonsensical with how Kratos had become up to that point. He was painted as cruel, horrible, and just as bad as anyone he killed, and that bit of humanity and sadness he had in the original was completely gone, and he'd turned into this one-dimensional 'badass' that so many see him as. He wasn't a good guy, by any means originally, but there was still this strip of humanity that kept him from more than that and put him as more of a character than other archtypes we see in video games (like Mater Chief and Gears Guy). And we're suppose to believe this little girl touches his heart? The guy who just used one of Poseidon's daughter's (who did nothing at all) as a doorstop to get crushed? Yeah, right. This guy wouldn't have given two ****s about this girl or 'giving hope to humanity'. It just came off as hacky and stupid at that point with the way they pathed the character; some kind of 'oh my God, guys, he's really good guy at heart after all!' when there's simply nothing left to indicate he was. Like when the villain or anti-hero has that 'change of heart' out of nowhere, and see all he's done was bad, even though there was never any point where we would expect him to have this belief. It just doesn't work, there was no development to it, at all.

And just the whole thing just wasn't very well told. I mean, honestly, put it up against the story in the first, or hell, even the second, and it feels like...nothing at all.

Do any of you get depressed when you're in Hades? The combination of Pandora's theme and the lost souls saying "What did I do to deserve this" and "Have you seen my child" gets me pretty down.
