[Abstract]

I have faith in Wong, I enjoyed Kung Fu Hustle immensely. As for Bay, I loved Transformers.

I'm hoping for Dragonball to be in a similiar vein as Transformers, a fun action film a few laughs, with some tense involving sequences for the audience, with Kung Fu Aliens instead of Robot Aliens.

What I enjoyed about Transformers was its ability to be completely out of this world and fantastical without alienating the audience. I went in with some knowlegde of the Transformers and their world and thoroughly enjoyed it, my girlfriend went in with no knowledge of it and loved it. Dragonball needs to be likewise, accessible to wide audience.

Yeah sorry, I know that. My bad, lol. Not sure what I was thinking. Got Wong mixed up with Stephen Chow . . .

You know Lee is the director of Crouching tiger, then he made the Hulk, suddenly everybody until now dislike that version, then he made brokeback mountain and he is good director again.

Then you have George Lucas, nobody would dare to talk bad about him after the first Starwars trilogy and the first Indiana Jones trilogy, then he create Jar Jar, and now many persons want to kill him for make the new trilogy.

Then you have Singer, the first 2 Xmen movies were the best comic movies until Batman Beggins and now Ironman, so he went to do Superman Returns, and now fans of Superman are doing a campain to do a reboot, and singer is hated by then.

This DB movie is the chance of Wong, hope he knows this and hope he met expectations

We'll see, but Xmen movie sucked as adaptations too tho. Singer didn't really do a good job to me. I HATED them movies and adaptations but if I had never known of the Xmen before then we'd be in great standings.

Lucas had proven with 6 great movies including Star wars and Indy that he was a visionary. Hulk 03 was far from horrible. It's an adaptation as Xmen was and it either translates well or not. I think the roles should have reversed. Ang would have maybe nailed xmen better and Singer Hulk, bt I preferred Hulk than the xmen movies cause i never really cared for Hulk in the comics all that and the movie was waaay more a mature story than most it's counterparts.

We'll see though. None of the directors u mentioned tho started with horrible movies. Wong hasn't proven a damn thing. Maybe he will, but i highly doubt it. Anything is possible tho.

someone may have said something to this effect already, but...

i'm not bugged at all by chatwin as goku. i can see a lot of good things about his casting... i think he visually embodies the youth and innocence of goku quite well. i'm also somewhat partial to him given that the chumscrubber is one of my favorite dark comedies.

also, chatwin not being of asian descent can work in his favor given that goku is not even a human, and it will visually separate him from the other characters who are human.

As overused as it is, they should've gone with "It's just a flesh wound". No line in the world can ever beat that.

Hopefully, they'll use it for when Frieza gets sliced by the Kienzan (Destructo Disk).

filming is already wrapped, so he won't be doing much more for this film. however, from the time he was cast to the time they first started shooting, he didn't have much time to bulk up and most likely spent doing choreography and learning the basics of martial arts.

What? They've already finished filming? I feel like we've just heard a few month ago that Fox was going ahead with this. Is my feeling for time totally shot? When did they start filming?

shooting began December 3rd and wrapped up in March. that's roughly a 3 month shoot.

Kudos to the costume designers. His gi is just too good. Also that low quality set pics of those 6 guys standing next to each other in those elaborate outfits... epic costumes.
