The Official Iceman/Shawn Ashmore X3 Thread

LMAO at Boob-Boom.

It's Boom-Boom. Or Boomer. Or Meltdown.

Not all cameos are official. In fact, most seem to be red herring, a wink just to get fans' speculative bone firing.

That is, if you see Boom-Boom, we see Magma, or someone else or even not at all.

.A matter of perspective,

I thought she was Husk... :D

I'd love to see Husk and Chamber inaugurate their apperance: both have aesthetically visual and very, very original powers, as well as Banshee's and a few others'.

It may be possible that, as keeping in with 'tradition', a bigger part for Jubilee (who too wields powers of the same calibre) would be in order, as well as Colossus, in future films, most likely in the spinoff.

Who else whose powers and unique character trajectories mosty likely will receive cinematic treatment...?

Visiually, they'd have to rig a harness with an intense light source coming from the chest area for Chamber. It shouldn't be too hard to make, but they'd have to incorporate a cooling pad and add in lots of sun screen to the actor. They can then follow up with computer rendering of an energy source on the actors chest, and give him a synthetic voice, like the fire character "Cinder", from that old Killer Instinct arcade video game.

Visually, Husk might be a little too much for the kiddies. Remember, this is a PG-13 movie, so seeing someone ripping their skin off might be a bit shocking and disgusting for some people. I'm sure it can be done tastfully, but we more than likely won't see the actual transformation of skin being ripped off. There might be a camera shot of her at the lower leg area, and we see her releasing skin/clothing from her hand, as she lowers her arm to her side.

As for Iceman's bodily transformation into ice, I don't see why he doesn't get a sleeveless X-uniform like Colossus.

That would have been perfect Iceman would have been more Iced up if this had happened. Great idea.

It just seems stupid to have just a head of ice coming from a leather costume. But I have a hunch they may have him open his jacket when he transforms into ice, just to show that it's his entire body. If we're lucky, he'll get some kind of bodily damage, and we see him using the surrounding moisture to heal himself....

^This is a really good idea, unzipping his jacket. I really hope when he's on his ice-slides they make it look like he's snowboarding :D

If he goes Frozone style, I might just have an aneurysm :p

Yep. I love the idea for him unzipping his jacket like in one of the comic covers. I think there was one pic of Iceman with his jacket unzipped, but still wearing his leather pants. Just enough to show his iced-up head and iced-up body.

^Yeah, that's the one. I love that pose. And the ice-slide.

Yeah, the whole Iceman mini-series is drawn that way... I didn't care for it too much, but the covers sure had some cool art.

Can you imagine seeing that guy ripping up the side of a mountain? THAT picture right there is Iceman's best look EVER.

That whole FOEDOG story was utterly ridiculous, but the covers were somewhat nice. The one above is probably one of the best of that series. Although, knowing what the movies costumes look like, I don't think the producers of the movie would go with the baggy pants look. And like I said before, maybe he can wear a sleeveless uniform, or an open sleeveless vest. That might be even cooler.

The new pic of iceman and kitty is odd. he shouldnt need ice skates, whether they are weird iced up ones or not

Well it's understandable that he wouldn't need skates on his ice-slides, because he can manipulate the angle of the slide to make it like a permanent downhill. However, since they're on a frozen pond, there's really no easier way to move around.

I believe this might be taken from the issue of Ultimate X-Men where Bobby is trying to teach Rogue how to skate. They might also combine it with the issue where Kitty makes fun of Bobby for dating a woman he can't have physical contact with and then he, for no reason at all, kisses her.

Vaughn was a brilliant artist for that book. Now that he's no longer on that book, too bad Marvel can't hire him for the regular X-Men book. Even if Iceman isn't in that issue, I'd still buy it for the artwork.

 I'd love to see him healing himself in this way

Is the Alcatraz usually cold and freezing? In the TV spot, everyone was breathing with air visible. Iceman...

Maybe Pyro burns off his uniform and to prevent the same thing happening he turns to ice.

ooo thats wouldnt be half bad. The top of his uniform sets a light so he has to rip it off. Or he has to run inot a fire to rescue someone and has to take it off. IM sure it will come off at one point though. I cant imagine that xmen leather being made see through, nor just his head

We have to see his whole body iced up,other wise he will look like Colossus too much.

I'll settle for top half :p

I cant imagine him whipping out the old xmen pants (english version!) for the final battle though
