Then they really need to start giving him more reason to exist beyond "I must kill my father". B/c what happens once he fights him and loses? You can't just go work at Burger King after that.

I'm hoping Skaar goes back to space, meets Hiro-Kala, and starts an interstellar boy band called the Banner Brothers.

I too, would like to see him live and go back into space. Maybe hook up with the Gaurdians of the Galaxy. That'd be cool.

Ha, I can see it now:

"I AM GROOT!"
"You're just a big, stupid tree."
"I... am Groot?"

And Drax has been more than just "Grrr, I live to kill this one person" ever since Thanos di.....

Hmmm, that should be interesting.

Dangit, I thought we weren't getting answers until Hulk #23. Just found out today.

Mixed feelings on it. Half of me is caught up in the Bay-rific action that's going on and some of the story ramifications, but the other half always knew it was going to be a main cast member so this wouldn't be retconned after Loeb's run. That, and I'm not happy with Betty being the Red She-Hulk. I mean, really? She's on bad terms with Bruce, is with a guy that may or may not be the real Talbot (I'm betting Leader in disguise), and now she's a psycho Hulktress to top it off? A bit much.

T-bolt as Red is...meh. At least that "mystery" is done with. Samson was the one who came up with the "he's so dead" story in the first place, so I never took that for the truth. Really, the only bit that didn't mesh was the 'stache, and if the mutants can go total secondary mutation as Hulks with no apparent repercussions later it shouldn't be too hard to overlook the Incredible Hulkstache.

I just read this thing in Borders today. Really, Ross? That red herring (pun intended) they threw us a couple years back was not really clever.

I'd like to chime in here and mention that even if he is a little single-minded, I'm still rooting for Skaar to make it through this *****heap after all is said and done. At this point, I'm doubtful that'll happen, but I'll give it a 8% chance...

I thought Doom was the standout in #609..it's too bad he wasn't as impressed with the long division though..what a party-pooper!!:oldrazz:

For the main story...while I get the gist of most everything that's going on, (especially since I'm not following any of the other cross-over-related books), it's just too much...too fast..with random crap showing up left and right..SUCH a departure from where they were 8 issues ago..egads

Finally, as to the Red identities: everyone repeat after me: MEH

MEH.

C'mon everybody, we can't be the only ones.

I wouldn't have liked Red Poochie any more, but I would have hated him a little less if he had been anyone...ANYONE...other than General Ross or Betty. Had he been Blonsky, Quatermain, or Talbot; hell, if they pulled an "Eddie Brock" on us and the guy was revealed to be a never-before-seen new cast member, that would have been better than flippin' Ross!

I'm not outraged...I do feel that any interest I had left for this character now is dead.

Yeah..I can get behind that outlook. Since the reveal took so freakin' long I thought it could even have been Banner's old lab assistant, Igor back from issue # 1. That would have made more sense than Ross, IMHO.

So to use O-Ron's moniker with the updated identity, does that make him:
Roochie? Rossie? :woot:

How about just "terrible"? I'm completely amazed that people have maintained their interest in Rulk for this long. :csad:

You've gotta throw off the tyrannical chains of Loeb's horrible comics and be free, Wolf.

It's kinda a downer to me; with a better writer, better pacing, and none of this hyped identity crap, Ross finally becoming seduced by the power of the Hulk COULD be interesting. Betty trying to move on, live a new life free from pain and madness, but then tragically becoming swooped up in all of the nightmares...AGAIN could have been tragic, psychologically disturbing, and an overall great read. But overall, the effects and potential for a great bunch of personal moments is ruined by this weird (and in my opinion unneeded) explosion of hulks. I miss the days of Bruce and Skaar before all this crazy crap...
