the official jarv thread

Is it the complete book or I should say is it all the art for the book? Imagine if someone took that and made the unofficial #94, even if it was B\W I'm sure the fans wouldn't care. Let us know how and when you will sell them.

hi to all,
still can't say anything, but just so you know, i am officially
working. just didn't want to leave you hanging. however, that's not why i am writing.
i just got the neatest package. it contains something i think you might be interested in. i finally got back my pages from the unpublished 94th issue of ghost rider and i am
looking to sell. i will work on a way to post so you can see them. some are inked, most aren't. just thought you might be interested.
what ya think?
jarv

Hey Jarv! Nice to hear from you again... even though were not aloud to know the news yet. Damn.

I'm definatly interested in getting some of that unpublished 94. Keep us updated on how you plan on selling them and the prices!

Sorry for the OT, but i would like to know if Javier likes the movie Hellcycle, if e judge it "compatible" with his GR style of view (artistically talking).
Thanks!

I heard that they are releasing a new GR strand of comics this September. Just thought you might like to know.

hi all,
just wanted to answer a couple of questions for you.
1. about the bike, i think it looks cool.
chopper isn't the way i would go, but it's the classic
johnny bike. something about the long forks on a chopper
that looks fragile to me. but that's just me. that's why i changed
it for the danny bike. something more compact and tough looking.
hence, the modified rice burner. just looks like it could go through
a wall and take it.
2. still trying to get my pages up for all to see. working on it i promise.

1)Those were exactly my same thoughts...they somewhat reinforced the fork though...
Thanks for the answer!
2)I can't wait:)

Hey Jarv! I can appreciate what your saying about the bike. As you may or may not have read, I'm a huge fan of the Ketch saga of Ghost Rider, most so than the Blaze. I really like the bike you used but, I didn't want to see something like that in the movie.... Not until Dan is the one who rides it, ya know?

Lookin' forward to those images. A lot of us (maybe none as bad as I) are dying to see the some of (or all) the story that was never told. Remember to let us know how we can purchase them from you, if you're still sellin'.

Your right, of course, about the long forks not being as sturdy, but if the bike is made from supernatural otherworldly metals and brimstone and such, reinforced with hellfire, does the style of bike really matter in regards to sturdiness? Its gonna be unstoppable (and sturdy "as hell") regardless.
I think your very talented, I hope when/if they do an ongoing Ghost Rider title, with Blaze as the host, your involved with it. I just hope you don't have a problem doing the chopper style for it :)

We're ALL hopin' you're involved with anything Ghost Rider. Ongoing, mini... doesn't matter. Give us our Jarv!

I like Jarv's style along with Mark Texeira in the Ghost Rider series. Is there any chance that you and Mark will be working on this new project?

I'm still just hoping to see Jarv in a book... Let's not ask for too much yet.

Go Jarv Go.

getting both close to being able to say something about what i am doing and posting my pages for sale. real close, really. just also wanted to say thank you to all you gr heads for your support and encouragement.

Nice to see you on the site, Javier! It's fantastic that guys like you and Mark Steven Johnson take the time to chat with the fans. I just wanted to say that it was largely because of your rendition of Ghost Rider that I got into the comic and the character. He just kind of jumped off the shelf at me, looking way cooler than all the other spandex-clad Captain Hero Man's.

The full page picture of him in Issue 1 bursting out of the scrap pile with Barbara in his arms totally captures his essence. I love that picture!

And unlike some of the later artists that worked on the series, you didn't draw him all pumped up like a steroid junkie and with squinty eye sockets (my pet hate). He was lean, scary and unstoppable. He was Halloween incarnate.

Just wondered, if no-one else has asked, how long did it take you to come up with your design for the Hellcycle? And what do you think of the movie version?

:D

From the latest photos on set the forks look really though and wide imho...Actually i think they are really studied up. Jarv ones were large and flat(a line section I ), so they looked very though since the front wheel was really close to the bike and they were really visible for the most from sides. In a chopper the forks are and even looks fragile because they are visible and exposed from all sides except from the back. Then, a cross section(as chains) fork really looks even wider than it is, especially from 3/4 directions, the most probabile. I don't know if this effect is casual or not, but i think on screen it should really works so could look almost as tank like as Jarv ones..

Thank us? No, no; thank you for giving us those years of awesomeness! Without the King GR Head, we'd never have become peasant GR heads.

I can't wait to see those pages... and to know what's on the go! Even if it's not a Ghost Rider project, I'm very interested to see any new work from you.

About IGR, I'll be updating it this week... couldn't do it this past weekend because I went to my cousin's for her first communion.. pretty cool, but took the whole weekend. Had to TiVo the Man-Thing movie on Sci-Fi and the "Animation Domination" block on Fox... check those out on Tuesday after the AP test I've been preparing like a mad cow for!

Updates will begin again Wednesday.. for sure!

Did you watch that Man-Thing movie yet MM? How was it?

Lookin forward to that update... as are many others I assume. It's hard to be busy off the computer eh? Actually having a life off the computer is strange...hehe.

This is kind fo a stupid question, but are you going to show up at some of the comic shops and sign the new GR comics when they come out?

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this board and decided to join just because of this thread.
Man, this is so exciting. Javier Saltares is actually posting here. WOW!
I'm one of those oversea GR-fans and always loved the run when he was on the book. So what's the count for fans who want him back on the book, me included?

Regarding that pages, I would like to know if you would also sell to me here in Germany? Do you use PayPal?

Welcome to the board, my fellow old lander :D
Was GR translated also in Germany as here in Italy?

hi guys,
working with a good friend right now
to create a site for me to display all sorts
of goodies.

Awesome! With all the low level artwork around in the net it was really a disgrace that such a talent wasn't visible. I can't wait to see the result!:)
