I'll point out in the comics there's been more than one (imaginary or elseworld) story of him having children with humans or non-humans (eg. Wonder Woman). Although scientifically it would be improbable if not impossible (unless genetically engineered by someone like a scientist). But it's fiction so I can accept that he can have children with humans (in those worlds).

Don't kill him it would be a cheap way of "fixing" the "problem" if Brainiac is in this doesn't he have a kryptonian scanner? like a scanner that checks for Kryptonian DNA maybe that will convince Superman to get rid of Jasons powers so that he won't be in anymore danger from Brainiac or maybe nothing happens to Jason maybe he will just be there

The only thing "wrong" about Superman having a son is that in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Superman goes to Dr.Kline to see if he can conceive, and Dr.Kline states something along the lines that his DNA or molecular structure isn't compatible with humans
More than 1 version of Superman has existed though, each interpreted differently.
I'm undecided on the whole Jason angle....probably leave him in the background, but have Superman "check up" on him now & then :cwink:

There you go I missed your post completely that wouldn't be so bad to still have Jason there I just don't want to see him die save that kind of drama for Batman

why so many people want to see a child violently killed, is most curious.

Not really. It seems that negativity and meanness almost rules the internet as a whole....and has definately set up a foothold here at the Hype. Now adays it seems to be the "cool thing" to act mean and hateful....especially with the aninimity the net provides.

Such haters. lol. Can't really blame anyone for him wanting to be dead. Of course it only makes sense to include him for a sequel of SR. Just getting rid of him would be too confusing for the general audience, killing him would be even worse, especially how gory many here want to, it would really hurt the film, and pry kill it if that happened.

I'm afraid to ask what the heck that means Wesyeed.

This is cruel this a whole thread for a five year old to die. LOL

That's sad. You're a real bitter person if you want a five year old to die because he's the son of Superman in a movie.

The fact most people hate about Jason being there is that it limits the possibilities of having a more action oriented movie and it doesnt have the same old cliches of having the kid being kidnapped like always.

I REALLY DONT THINK SINGER IS AS GOOD AS JAMES CAMERON OR SPIELBERG TO MAKE IT WORK.

It also limits the potential to see a much more intergalatic version of Superman fighting alien menaces or something much MORE FUN. Instead we have a sequel that has to deal with family problems and paternity. People dont wanna pay 10 bucks to watch a movie about Superman and his family. They want to watch Superman being a hero.

HOWEVER, this trend, all of this is happening because of Marvel comics, IMO. Every superhero now has to be down to eath and have ordinary problems like Spider-man. Where is all the FUN and excitement of before? The magic of movies like Back to the Future, E.T, Indiana Jones is that they are aimed at kids. But because it is so fun, it is opened to the whole family. I dont wanna see a movie that takes it self too seriously like Hulk, SR.

Its comic books. If i want a soap opera or watch a documentary, i`ll stay a home.

I wanna see Superman to be remind me of being a kid again. To bring back all these emotions i had when i watched Superman when i was 10.

When i was watching SR, it happened only twice. When the lights dimmed and i saw the credits and during the plane sequence. The rest was just meh, over dramatic, too serious and moody.

Thats my 2 cents.

How on earth can you kill off Jason and expect to go back to the normal dynamic between Lois and Superman.

If Jason is killed off, than you might as well kill off Lois as well because there is no way she could ever return to being the same character.

If people thought Superman was too brooding and dark before, imagine how he would be after his son got killed.

Parents losing their child is pretty much the worse thing any person could go through. So unless you want both Lois and Superman to be depressed, sobbing basket cases, you'll just have to live with Jason sticking around.

Superman and Lois having a kid should have been left for the finale of the series, not the starting point. But killing the kid off now, would move Superman even farther away from where he should be.

I dont, because i wont be able to handle the kids crappy acting at dying, unless its done in a Movie-Venom way.

I say kill em and have superman absolutely lose it. And probably end up punching a hole thru braniacs ****ing face.

Yes it would be an emtional sequence that we've never seen on film...

I think he is being set up to take the mantle of Superman.

I'd like to see that happen in either some spin-off movies or a spin-off TV series.

All the reasons for bringing Jason into the film degrade the character of Superman. He never should've existed in the first place. IMO, the challenge of the next Superman film will be correcting all the mistakes that were made in Superman Returns. A good first step in that direction would be killing off Jason White. Not only because the character sucks, but it would also have a good dramatic effect on the film.
I agree they should correct their mistakes in part 2. I also agree that the kid never should've existed. They messed way too much with the mythos with that one.

Singer should not have made the film, just a rip off Donner's movie. They need to remake the franchise like The Hulk.

Singer shouldn't make comic book movies period, he doesn't care about the characters or the fans.

Erase the garbage that Singer's done. Revamp!!!

Superman never really had a great movie, Gene Hackman ruined the first one. Spacey is at least a great Lex. Hackman was not Lex, just some baffoon!

That suit better get fixed too, actual red, the yellow S on the cape, wider neck, bigger S.

The bold and the italics are a direct contradiction. Singer didn't "rip off" SM:TM. Singer was actually coming from a very different perspective to Donner as well (SM:TM was an origin, while SR was a "reintroduction", ie just have him come back etc).

Really, apart from NK's similarities to Luthor's scheme in SM:TM, there isn't much to parallel between the two. Think about that. And there definately wasn't any Jason White in SM.

And he didn't turn back time in "Superman Returns". ;)

SInger used the S:TM as a template for SR with only a few different scenes. The detail may be different, but if you outline the scenes next to each other you can see direct parallels.
