Dominic West as Jigsaw is simply awesome casting, he is a great actor and will pull this off, Knight as Microchip is perfect, this cast is getting better and better.

Paddy might have been hard to envision, but I will tell you one thing, that man would have taken the role with dignity.

Personally, I think Paddy would be awesome as a villian, West not so much. Now I'm not going to bash the film or anything like that, but I was psyched when it was mentioned he was offerred the role, and then pissed that Lionsgate punk'd him and changed their mind. West I don't see as anything other than a scoundrel-y type of villian (sorry to typecast him). It's much more than looks that make someone menacing, and I think Paddy would've been perfect for it.

Having said that though, really liked the first film and hope this one is much more violent and a great, gritty flick. Fingers crossed that Stevenson and West can sell their roles.

I'm a little worried, because most of the people who liked the 04 movie aren't comic book fans or Punisher fans. And it might be them who made this another franchise with the dvd sales of the 04. Since this will be closer to the comics than the first 2, I don't know if the people who are not Punisher fans or comic book fans will like this one. And it might not have the sales of the 04 for another one. If this is the case, I wonder how long this franchise will last. Its kind of like reagular fans vs. Punisher/comic book fans.

Plus this new cast will appeal to people. Fans of 300 and the Wire will take a liking to it. People who are like "Holy **** its Newman! What's he doing in a Punisher movie?" will probably check it out as well. Fans of Rome will also check it out when they see Titus Pullo on the big screen killing even more people.

I'm not worried, I'm actually very optimistic. I think this will do pretty well in theaters compared to the previous film.

Ive only seen clips on Youtube of GSH but it looks like she can deliver the realism sorely needed in this new Punisher flick. I like how portrays violence too, its more of an in your face type of deal which would translate well in this new adventure.
