yah he was a puss, but hes definatly one of the best actors around. im happy enough with the guy we got for Jigsaw, not as great of news as Stevensons casting, but good enough, but Phoenix is definatly a better actor and could easily portray Jigsaw

imagine Joaquin Phoenix as Jigsaw, he would have been my top pick

I would be more convinced he could pull the role off if he has shown he can pull off playing psychotic villains. He sure as hell pulled playing the crazy villain in Gladiator. Ray Liota would be more favorable over him because he has played psychotic villains including the drug addicted mobster in Goodfellas, although I think they would be looking for someone that is in their late 20s or mid thirties.

I checked at www.imdb.com. So far they already have the lead casted The Punisher Frank Castle. They have 3 other actors listed but they haven't put down who they will be playing. Either one of those 3 is going to be Jigsaw or they are still looking for who to play him.

Thanks. Dominic West defenitly looks the part. All he needs is the 1 hour or more in the make up department to make him look very disfigured and then we can see the first of Jigsaw hopefully in the teaser.

I think you are right.. we should probably review Lionsgate release schedule and see what else it might be attached to.

Who is Agent Paul Budiansky then? Is he the one who the Punisher acidentally kills at the mob party? I'm losing track of who's who.

McDonald is partners with Soap. McDonald is after The Punisher for very personal reasons. We don't know why. Budiansky is the one Punisher accidently kills. McDonald is after him about that, but thats not the main reason why he wants Castle.

Based on the recent script review it sounds like this might not be EXACTLY the same..

Soap does have a partner, and there is an undercover cop that is killed...

I should go back and re-read but I got the impression that the undercover cop that is killed is white since his wife and kids are as well..... I need to go back and look at this..

Nicky Donatelli is still probably the undercover agent who gets killed, but I have a feeling that Luke McDonald has been replaced by Budiansky. From what we all knew about McDonald before, he was definitely a lead... so no mention of him now makes me think they've changed him to sound like a character from the comics. That's just speculation though, I guess.

Further "name dropping" without any real related substance by the production, but whatever.

Since all the names of the characters keep changing on us, hopefully this means there were some solid script rewrites that took place.
