I love Dominic West. Perfect choice for Jigsaw. I was hoping they'd cast someone older for Microchip, like how he looks in MAX, but Knight is a good chioce. Hopefully he doesn't act like Newman though.

I don't and from what I heard he leaft because of money anyway. I was never that much of a fan of his style of Frank anyway. I thought the first movie was god aweful. I would have walked out if I didn't pay my money already.

I don´t get it, that is just wrong in so many ways.......unless they actually made the character be a bit interesting.

Knight is in negotiations to play Microchip, the Punisher’s armorer and confident — the man who supplies him with his stockpile of weapons and one of the few people who knows the Punisher’s true identity.

I hape that is just some guy talking crap, because everyone knows who The Punisher is, it´s not like he tries to hide it....

Yup. I mentioned Knight's performance as a tech guy in JP being very entertaining earlier in this thread, and that if his performance is even half as entertaining as his performance as Nedry was in JP, definately no worries there!

Uhhh what now? It's not like he tries to keep it a secret or anything. If they really decide to go that route (though I'm sure it's just an error on the writer's part) then they're dumber than Lois Lane. A guy puts on a black T-shirt and suddenly no one recognizes him anymore?

I love these choices. The only other actor that looks anything like Microchip would be Tom Arnold. LOL

My original choice was Tom at one point. I liked his character in true lies, but i always thought his ff beat humor would try to take away from the tone of the movie. My long time choice for Microchip had been John candy, but he's way larger then the Punisher (and he's not with us anymore). Yes somewhere in between were the two fat guys from Seinfeld Newman, and that agitated guy.

As a big fan of "The Wire", I love seeing its cast in other roles. Dominic West will be great as Jigsaw.

This cast is going to be more reconizable (as a whole) than the 2004 film. Obviously nobody is of the status of Travolta or even Jane but I'm talking about the whole group at the time each film is released. Back in 2004 I didn't know who the hell Ben Foster was.

do you think that collectively its enough to help its chances at the box office? 300 was pretty big and West had a fairly big role in it.

I think now that they're not wasting any of the budget on personalities like Travolta, and focus on making this a bloody violent Punisher film...it'll hit the mark. It's not a movie that'll make 100 million and if it doesn't open #1 the weekend it opens I wont' be surprised. DVD is where the money is...the theatre just creates the awareness as a loss leader. It's also gonna depend on the release date. I'm guessing October 08. The 2004 film was a good movie with lots of flaws though so any improvement would help the repeat viewings. I think the worst part about the 2004 film was Travolta, and then those two ******ed so called Cuban kingpins or whatever they were. LOL

This cast rocks! Count me excited now! Titus Pulo teamed with Newman against the dude from the wire, sweet. All we need now is Sienfeld and Vorenus to cameo. Don't know how good this will be but if they just forget all the origin crap and go all out violence then this will finally be a worthwhile Punisher movie.

I hope they don't make Microchip like previous characters Knight has played. I don't think a "Newman" or the "JP Guy" belongs in a Punisher movie at all.

However, I couldn't be happier with Dominic West as Jigsaw. What an awesome choice.
