I like the Luthor we got in SR Perfect! I just would stray away from the land angle in MOS

Describe your ideal Luthor?

Mine would be a power hungry ambitious man that will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He will be ruthless and at the same time intelligent. He will be the highlight of Metroplois all the girls want him all the men want to be him. His a billionaire and golden boy who can do no wrong but in the background his behind a number of criminal activities. When Superman shows up he steals some of luthors Thunder and becomes the new golden boy of Metropolis not only that but Luthor will also harbour a deep fear of Superman. He will ask the question what if this alien this freak of nature(Lex would not see Superman as a god) decides his had enough of playing saviour and decides to play conquerer or destroyer. He will always harbour this fear but hides it from people. He will be around the same age as Lois and Clark, and will have to appeal to women. He will also have a decent build and dress exquisite at all times.

Luthorcorp will be a driving force in Metropolis, with its slogan being Luthorcorp bringing a brighter future to all. Also Luthorcorp will be one of the funders to a research facility known as S.t.a.r. labs. Lex will be on good terms with a genius known as Doctor Hamilton who is the brains behind S.t.a.r. labs, within this facility a number of research activities are going on from the development of Metahumans to gene slicing and mergers. As well as the latest development that Hamilton has stumbled across which is cloning he has almost perfected the cloning process but with a few flaws in the clones personality.

Wow I got carried away anyway guys feel free to describe your ideal Luthor for perhaps a sequel or reboot.
 I'd like to see this version of Luthor in a reboot.

agreed. Spacey's Luthor was fine. It was the narrative that took away from him, like the rest of the movie. Take Spacey's Luthor, and remove the ridiculous plans to take over the world, and replace it with a bit of a scarier, yet smaller scale plan and be done with it.

I didnt I thought he was a joke, he was worst than Hackman's Luthor. At least with Hackman you could get a few laughs but with spacey its was all dull and campy with no Lol moments.

So would I, sadly we can only dream and wait to see what happens next.

bah, im 26, there are going to be atleast 2 superman reboots in my lifetime, I'm pretty sure. So I'm not worried. Eventually we will get the evil billionaire Lex Luthor. It just won't be in this round of films.

This is slightly of topic but does anyone know what happens to Superman once the contract with WB is over, who does he return to?

Eh. You've probably never read a story with him.

BTW: THere is no Luthorcorp. Do you even read the comics or do you just watch Smallville?!

Alright so I don't want to see the same Luthor as you do, so apparently that means I haven't read Superman comics and and am simply a Smallville fan.

OK.....

 The big question is are you? So are you telling me Luthercorp was only in the 80's?

it's LEXcorp, you Smallville fan.

The "evil CEO" concept is a typical 80s stereotype, like the "mad scientist" before. Got it?!

Oh **** yes dam smallville has rubbed of to much on me, you claim to know the comics yet dismiss the fact that Lex was rich and intelligent in birthright as well as Morrison's JLA. We could have this Lex and then progress to president Lex perhaps in a sequel to the reboot somewhere down the line.

"President Luthor" is too stupid. Back to pre-crisis, these days he must be a kind of genius terrorist.

Chill guys. There are plenty of other Superman threads to argue on, lets try and stick to the topic in this one.

I'm not feeling business man Luthor or President Luthor; great for the 80s/90s though but I dont think money and political power is enough.

My idea Luthor is after absolute knowledge and control over his mortality (thus wanting immortality); there were some references to this in the JLU Amazo episode. He wants to be a more powerful force than Superman.

Using Brainiac in the sequel would be a great way for Spacey's Luthor to move towards that goal.
