Sure she can be.

It's called acting..........
So any good actress = Lois?

She didn't fail with Singer, another actress was simply chosen, which had more to do with Kevin Spacey than Singer.
What did Spacey have to do with this?
We don't need Michael Jackson as Lois Lane

For someone wanting a bombshell, you sure aren't producing any.
I agree. Greene is overrated.

You cant dye her hair. She'd look ridiculous with black hair and all her hotness would be lost. Adams' shtick is her cuteness and gingerness.
I'm sure that was a lot of posters thoughts about Emma Stone as well.
I played around in photoshop for a quick minute and she looks like an better version of Jessica Stroup
aaddarkhair.jpg

I dont want to either, i'm just saying that she does sound English and looks like a nerdy chick. She is soooooo wrong for this. She is no Lois, otherwise why dont we cast Meryl Streep? She is an awesome actress right?
And I'm not gonna get into the ridiculous logic-ignoring talent of an actress debate.

Out of actresses in Hollywood I would go straight for, Adams doesn't tend to be where my mind goes.

And most of those women dont.
Yes they can.

i like Amy Adams...but nah, she looks nothing like Stroup. most of these actresses, despite fitting the typical physicality of Lois, look nothing like each other.

Not saying they're twins, but there's no way you can say they don't look similar.

And every incarnation of Lois(in canon) looks the same?

Propose her for Lois all you want, but she looks nothing like Stroup. Seriously now.

I'm not only proposing her for Lois, you guys are just stuck on her.

Not saying they're twins, but there's no way you can say they don't look similar.
other than them being Caucasian, i don't think they look anything alike...and this is coming from an artist who's studied facial structures for over 15 years.

And every incarnation of Lois(in canon) looks the same?
um....no? i never said or assumed such a thing. i'm just sayin'...Amy Adams, as much as i like her, looks nothing like Stroup. to be fair, none of the proposed actresses in this thread look anything like each other.

After seeing Tron: Legacy the other night, Olivia Wilde (the only good non-technical/score related thing - ****ing terrible movie) could pull off Lois.

Time to study again

So you're saying the pale complexion, the round face, the striking blue eyes, the eye shape, thinner upper lip, fuller bottom lip the same color are nothing alike.
to be fair, none of the proposed actresses in this thread look anything like each other.
Which is why no one can agree on who is a good casting for Lois.

Stroup has an angular face with lots of hard edges. Adams' is rounder and softer. One looks like the good nerdy girl next door, and the other looks.... well nothing like that.

You give them both the same hair, and you'd be surprised how much they look alike.

OK, whatever, can we move on? Does it matter if they look similar or not?

Time to study again
nah, i know my stuff. you don't have to be so *****ey about a differing opinion though. i'm not saying you're blind for thinking they look alike...i'm just letting you know my experiences of studying facial anatomy conclude that they don't look alike.

So you're saying the pale complexion, the round face, the striking blue eyes, the eye shape, thinner upper lip, fuller bottom lip the same color are nothing alike.
those features describe approx. 75% of the women in mentioned in this thread, but none of them look alike. what i'm saying is...if they had the same colored hair and i saw them walking down the street together, i wouldn't think they were sisters...let alone related.

we just disagree...there's no need to be nasty about it.

A big meh to McAdams, too cutesy and soft. . .

This thread seems to be getting a little tense lol. I think it all depends on what you are referencing your source material for Lois. Are you going by the 50s look? 80s-90s Lois? Margot Kidder Lois? Terri Hatcher?

I don't want a kick butt Lois, that goes around looking like she can fight crime. I would rather want my Lois to look intelligent, curious, but fiesty to the point that she never backs down and does what it takes to get a story. She doesn't cause trouble, but she finds herself getting into it a lot. Enter Superman to save the day.

As long as the actress can pull of that I'm cool with it. However, I don't think that Eliza, or Hathaway have it. And that's a NO for Greene and Wilde, too. I like Olivia Wilde and she is dope, but she just seems too strong facially and personality wise for Lois. Calm down let me explain. I could see Olivia Wilde being cast as a super hero before being cast as Lois. She just seems more heroic in the sense.

I still think that Rachel McAdams, Blunt, Stroup (If they go with a younger Supes) would do well. Amay Adams would also be a good choice, but she seems a little pure for my taste, however, that is acting and that can change.

Oh and I always enjoyed the Margot Kidder Lois, more than Terri Hatcher. Yeah Terri was cuter, but she just seemed less commanding. Margot seemed more commanding as a journalist, where Terri seemed to just be your average field reporter.

Ha, I figured you wouldn't like it.

Wilde had far too little to do but she was a highlight and I think that she could pull it off. How can you not be a highlight when you are acting opposite a block of wood and Jeff Brigdes on "I'm bored" Dude mode?

Thank God, I saw The Fighter right afterwards.

Isn't that what "kick butt Lois" means? I don't mean crime fighter, I meant somebody who doesn't look like a damsel in distress, which I see Amy Adams as

You should watch her in The Fighter. It's precisely a role that goes against what she's typically seen as, which she even admitted. She's a fantastic actress.

Seriously, go rent Wild Target before you discount her from the role because of "hottness" - In regardance to Emily Blunt
Pics man, you need to convince us. All I saw of her is in Wolfman, I don't see it. Maybe Lara EL, but not Lois

Lucky for us, Hathaway isn't a man. - In regardance to Anne Hathaway
Again, she isn't HOT/Bombshell, she is more of the girl next door type.
I'm not trying to be mean, but are your eyes working properly? - In regardance to Rebecca Hall
Let's get a better pic shall we of Rebecca Hall not pretty/hot enough but a Andy Dick look alike (i'm only joking about the look alike but let's run with it)

Try harder? -

If you are trying to convince me of Olivia Wilde than you need a better pic than that

Thanks for agreeing that she isn't Lois Lane
It's called acting.......... - In regardance to Amy Adams
So I guess all actresses that can act can pull off Lois Lane, hey, let's get Al Pacino for Superman!
She didn't fail with Singer, another actress was simply chosen, which had more to do with Kevin Spacey than Singer. - In regardance to Keri Russell
Regardless, she is more of an extra than a lead (ex. MI:3)
She's only 2 inches shorter than your pics. A nice set of heels and camera magic can fix that. - In regardance to Mia Kirshner
Let's do that same with Superman right
I think it would be a refreshing role for her. - In regardance to Eliza Dushku
Refreshing?? No no, not a leading lady.
Sorry, but Lois can only handle herself so well without Superman.
Yeah, that is what I said, that she shouldn't look like she needs assistance from Superman, that she can "kick butt"
Boring, only popular because of an overrated show and has stated she's wanted to quit acting.
Quit acting? sure that is why Evangeline Lilly is acting along side Hugh Jackman in his next movie. She never said quitting, she said she wants to write, but she never said quitting, maybe taking a break. "Only popular" of what... LOST, you can say that about all the actresses out there
Amy Adams - Enchanted
Rachel McAdams - The Notebook
Anne Hathaway - That Princess movie :whatever:
We don't need Michael Jackson as Lois Lane
 if you think Ashely Greene looks like MJ than God speed.
For someone wanting a bombshell, you sure aren't producing any.
I produced too bombshells, Evangeline Lilly and Ashley Greene, all you produced were the popular choices, majority of them are already on the polls and none of them are winning either.
