For me, it's Mila Kunis or Olivia Wilde.

I'm sure they'll make the right choice in the end.

Anyways, how about Alison Brie (she's on Mad Men)? Perfect age (27) and boy, can the girl act. Doesn't hurt that she's got the Lois Lane charm and more subtle sex appeal. She can play cute girl and tough heroine.

Not sure why I never thought of her for the role.

I'd also be down for Alison Brie for Lois too, great suggestion. Super hot... I've liked her since I first started watching Mad Men... I could really see her with Cavill too.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I want her for the role.

My new (and final) top 3:

1. Mila Kunis
2. Olivia Wilde
3. Alison Brie

My new life goal; Marry Jessica Stroup.

I'll help you, so long as you agree to leave it until AFTER she's done filming as many Superman films as they are making this time around :p

i'd be happy with Jessica Stroup, Rebecca Hall, or Alison Brie. i really like Taylor Cole's look but i haven't seen her act.

everyone else i just consider typical fanboy type casting since they're always mentioned for other female characters in comic books.

I know what you mean.

TBH I don't think I have ever suggested the same actress twice for different roles. If I think an actress is enough like Lois, that I will post her picture in this thread, then she certainly isn't right to play Mary Jane, Catwoman, Wonder Woman etc... she's right for Lois!

Yeah Alison Brie is a solid choice id be perfectly happy with her! She's great in Mad Men and in Community, she's a pretty solid actress and not to mention she's just drop dead gorgeous

With Cavill as Superman, Alison Brie as Lois, and Daniel Craig as Luthor... yeah, that'd be such an epic movie.

Who else do you like?
Since we have our Superman now, I'm trying to think of actresses who seem like a good fit for Cavill. Lizzy Caplan from Cloverfield is one actress who I like for the role and I'd like for Kate Mara to get a screentest atleast as I've found her to be a solid actress and likable in everything I've seen her in.

A lot of these candidates have a satisfactory look and adequate acting merit for the part, but I worry not many have the innate charm it requires to make the performance worthy of the character. The many issues Bosworth had notwithstanding, she was just a bore to watch.

I've honestly only seen maybe 3 actresses here who've shown they can liven up on-screen. Chemistry should be taken into account of course, but I think that takes care of itself if the actress already has the charisma.

KRIM...you always provide insightful posts. you're very welcome here on the hype :)

NO for Mila Kunis, she looks like Cavill's sister

YES for Olivia Wilde or Eva Green

The only thing they have in common is that they're both very attractive.

No, she doesn't.:whatever:

BTW, I know fanboys still have a hard on for Eva Green, but she is not right for Lois at all.

That would definitely work, but I don't think WB would want another Brit in the second most important role.

Which 3 actresses are you referring to, KRIM?
It was more of an approximation from the vast list of actresses I've seen being named over the years. But just from the last few pages, Alison and Mila are the only ones I'd consider full of charm. I'd be against the latter from taking the role though, solely because I don't like her look for the part.

I'm surprised Alison doesn't have a bigger following. She clearly has the looks down and while her resume may not be so vast her short stints prove she's capable. She's exceedingly funny and the natural charisma she possesses can make you fall in love with her no matter the type of character she plays. That's crucial if they really want to approach Lois like the tough as nails reporter. An actress can be overshadowed by that lack of attractiveness. I look back at the long list of actresses that have played the role, and Teri is the only one I genuinely loved because I could watch her for hours and hours. She's very fun to watch. It should be a top priority to make Lois as engaging as possible to audience. They shouldn't rely on the power of her name.
