For someone who considers himself to have sources, for all I know he could be the one called 'Hollywood Insider' for the site. But yes I could be wrong as well.

So because he was "wrong" about Cavill, the articles he posts from other websites are somehow tainted. That's a horse of a different color.

That's what happens when you report or "hint" to things and put a lot of stock into it. It's why Jett is an unbelievable source now, Jett's been wrong too many times about the Batman movies by Nolan that he lost what little credibility he had.

Especially for one who's first inside hint has been an actor(who's now official) being out of the running for a small rumor. As for if he's been right about other hints, I haven't heard or read any of them and he wouldn't provide any examples.

So yes, his credibility is pretty shot for me, and I'm sure some others who remember.

Right, but I can understand if Jamie was simply posting his own thoughts on the matter and you chose not to believe it, but it is a link to a site talking about said subject. The Jett analogy doesn't really work here.

Anyway, that is the list we have from that website. We've already heard Biel before from multiple reports, Akerman I believe as well. Twilight chick is a new development, as well as Glee chick. McAdams it the fan favorite of the bunch, so if you go by the Cavill Theory Of Relativity, she has the role...

I have friends working on both X-Men:First Class and Spider-Man right now, and one thing I've learned from their experience working in the film industry is that a lot of these "inside sources" on the internet really have no idea what they're talking about. They sometimes have pieces of a much bigger picture, but because they've been "right" so many times they think they have the whole picture, or that they really have an inside knowledge of how things are working. They really don't.

And this isn't a dig at Jamie or anyone. Just a general statement, mostly because sometimes I notice fans latching on to certain internet personalities and websites as if they're somekind of godsend. And I often see people believing a story they read on a "trusted" website instead of what the people making the film say straight from their lips.

Well, you were doing well with your argument up until that last line. People making films lie all the time, on every level. Whether it be to protect their investment or protect their interests. You can't take a lot of what the creative team says about a film at face value, you always have to investigate it. There are so many examples of this I don't know where to begin.

Of the ones I've seen listed, at least looks-wise, I think Evangeline Lilly has the right kind of look for Lois. A lot of the women people are choosing either look very young or very model-ish, neither of which I feel really suit Lois. She should look somewhat seasoned and serious, since she's a career woman, and she should be very attractive, sure, but not in a way that suggests that she primps and obsesses on her looks for hours.

Obviously, looks are far from the most important thing, but that's my two cents regardless.

Oh, and PS: It's perfectly all right to just say you don't think someone looks right for a part. You don't have to say laughable stuff about these women being disgusting, or horse-faced, or whatever. We all know you wouldn't kick a single one of them out of bed, so stop trying to look like a cyberpimp.

I've seen Sarah Shahi mentioned a couple times in here. Underrated pick IMO. I've been watching Fairly Legal the past couple weeks and she is screaming Lois Lane. I think she'd knock it out the park.

I'm not talking about a creative team lying. And I'm not saying that they never do lie.

But, there have been MANY times when a "reputable" site has reported something about a film being made, and people believe their story because they're considered a legit source. And the sites in question believe their stories 100% as well. But in reality they're so far off it's laughable to those who really do know what's going on.

Yeah , assuming the list is true , Those would be my rankings as well, followed by Akermann in third , however as usual it'll most likely come down to which actress has the most chemistry with Cavill, and far as that goes who knows. The actress who ends up having the most sparks with Cavill may not be everyone's first choice so, we'll have to wait and see.

Whoever gets picked though has my full support . I'm gonna give them a shot and refrain from making pronouncements like ,"She's gonna suck". If there's anything I've learned its that you can't judge until you see the performance.

Same here. And with all the hullabaloo about Routh being "gay" and I guess now Cavill huh would WB even think of her.
