Ok well I havent seen 500 days of summer nor seen any of the music videos he's made so I'm not too sure how to take this news. I suppose I'm kind've happy as we're getting some movement on the project rather than waiting years and years and it still ending up being crap. I'd rather get some news in asap!

Hmm Ultimate Spider-man huh? well I did actually enjoy this series up until 2007 although they did take some serious liberties with characters. I'd be interested to see how this would turn out on screen.

80mil for this?? I don´t believe that for a second, sure district 9 did a great job on a lower budget than that but I just don't see this flying with spidey. Who knows, just hope the effects are better this time around.

i hope for him that the movie will have a very cinematic feeling. this is not documentary or a low budget movie.

the movie needs to look larger then life. the lighting needs to feel cinematic like something that resembles out world but times 100. look at the LOTR,T2,Superman returns,......

Thats from the Sony Press release which explains one part of Spider-Man.

Peter Parkers life for the viewer should feel intimate and personal while his story of becoming Spider-Man to use his power for good should feel larger than normal life and feel when he gets thrown into the giant canvas that is New York.

Thats the beauty of the character. A random teenager becoming a larger than life character in a large city getting rid of crime.

You can't have one without the other for Spider-Man. It's just an integral part of the character.

A feature film should always be cinematic otherwise there's no point in adapting it from the comics.

I was hoping for Vaughn...not sure about Webb yet,but thats maybe a good sign because i was hyped as Hell when i first heard that Raimi will direct Spiderman and then i mostly was disappointed with the result.

I hope Webb will do a great Job and i finally will have a Spiderman Movie that i could love.

Except that Spidey is supposed to be in high school and Levitt is already too old. It definitely wouldn't work out for a Trilogy.

Anyway, I started to watch the Movie (500) Days of Summer. First thing I noticed, no stupid crying when the girl and boy broke up.

I'm liking the director a whole lot more now.

we all remember how bad the raimi spidey films were.

this is our chance to move past it

start fresh and proper

we already got an old spider man now its time to give us the story we want to see

and if your weird and for some reason enjoyed the old spidey movies...well i got good news for you, they will stil be available at your local dvd store and rite aid.

the idea that a highschool spidey will existr only to appease the mtv crowd is stupid. the old trilogy did that with its melodrama, abd acting(not by everyone) and disregard for the character

spidey started in high school

but it wasn't singing and dancing, hell this guy was barely there since he would miss class to go fight dock ock outside

so in conclusion grow the **** up

this reboot is long over due and my excitement is very high and will only decrease if the casting and storyline sucks

and, no, i wont go praise raimi if this happens because spidey 4 would have sucked too just like the first 3.

for the record i loved the evil dead movies and i have nothing against raimi, he just sucked at spiderman, i wish him luck.

personally i always wanted JOSS WHEDON(the man who tries so hard to save TV) to write and direct spiderman.
