Seriously? JEH is like, 5 ft 5 and has a wirey physique. Reynolds could swat him away like a fly.
Well I do get what you are saying about Strong. He does seem like a more sophisticated "doesn't get his hands dirty" type of guy.
But I just think that could sorta play into it with his fighting style. You know? Sorta give him a arrogant fighting style where he doesn't seem to be trying and yawning with a attitude of "Is this it, human?" I could picture Strong doing that perfectly.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_StrongHow come I never heard of this dude until Sherlock Holmes? Now all of a sudden, he's everywhere.
I like that he will be physically imposing to reynolds, but I don't like that he is pretty much a type-cast villain.
Agreed, but Strong also has the arrogant aristocratic presence that I think Sinestro requires and not the dirty gringy presence that Jackie Earle Haley provides.
Spacey was excellent as Lex Luthor. The problem with Luthor lies completely in the script, not with Spacey since Spacey had to play the exact same campy Lex Luthor that Gene Hackman played.
If Spacey was a more serious Lex, it would have been perfect.
I second these posts. The problems with those movies were the scripts. If Charlize Theron is handed a good script that's a blockbuster then I would get what your saying but the blockbuster scripts handed to her have been bad. Not by her fault
When does shooting for this start? Because I think Strong starts playing Matai Shang the (surprise!) villain of John Carter Of Mars next week.
I do wonder how they'll handle Sinestro in this film. I watched GL: First Flight, found it thoroughly entertaining, but laughable how everybody found it inconceivable that the RED DEVIL LOOKING GUY WITH AN ATTITUDE PROBLEM NAMED FRIGGIN' SINESTRO could have possibly been a traitor. They would have probably thought Victor Von Doom was a stand up guy too.
