Will never get enough of playing the end of Mass Effect 2 if they want to keep upgrading the visuals for that. The new Mass Effect game needs sections like that where you are in overall control of more than just your current squad with other leaders from your party leading other squads and communicating throughout. And who you choose as leaders and the makeup of each squad making a big difference to mission success likelihood (& survival rates of squadmates). Ideally that could take place over most of the game.
That sounds like what was supposedly experimented with ME3 with kinect only with what you said to a more better degree the way with what was done with the squad mates you had with you.

I'm not sure how that will be done with other consoles though. Or if they'd(fan base) want or more to it care for that feature. sounds like a lot of work too. but ME2 has a nice set up of delegating with it.

you know now that I think about it, it sounds like what you were saying was it having some kind of mini game of an RTS Elemments. that the only other I can see it applied. I did mention kinect cause of how it sounded at first cause i can see them some how using it for that purpose you mentioned, but some how I can see RTS Elements being applied here as well.

I always expected the final mission in ME3 to be like ME2's on steriods. Putting certain races in certain positions and having certain duties. It was essentially horde mode and pretty forgettable though.

yeah people were complaining about the ending but I thought the way that final mission was approached was the bigger travesty. I couldn't believe they didn't even give us a boss battle with an indoctrined Illusive Man as it seems as if they were building up to that

Same here, I was hoping for the exact same thing. Like maybe you would assign different jobs to different factions, and then you could micromanage your own squadmates like in the suicide mission.

Yeah, there were a number of things about Mass Effect 3 that I thought were worse than the ending. Looking back on it now, it seems like the game might have been rushed out. That whole final mission felt very underwhelming and kind of slapdash. It's sad to think about what could have been. Oh well. I'm over it.

Ok this is a bit off topic yet on topic it's still about Mass Effect in a way. But this is cool to see.

Starbound: Mass Effect Edition looks well worth Shepard's endorsement

An interesting mod for the Starbound beta incorporating several elements from BioWare's lauded Mass Effect series has been published online by a group known as Team SMEE. It's called Starbound: Mass Effect Edition and we're certain it's Shepard's favorite beta mod on the Citadel.

The most interesting inclusion is Mass Effect's Biotics, the special abilities unlocked in certain lifeforms through the integration of technology. Both Lift and Slow have been added to Starbound, though players need to track down and learn these techniques before they can employ them.

The mod also converts your personal ship into the Normandy – the original SR-1, to be exact, from the first Mass Effect. On top of the AI-controlled ship, the Asari, Turians and Human Alliance races are all represented here, as well as a slew of appropriate armor and weapon sets pulled directly from BioWare's series. Future updates are planned, and will add the Mako (why?) and Element-0 – a rare element that, when electricity is applied to it, allows for the creation of mass effect fields.

In order to install the mod, users must grab Kawa's Xbawks Mode Character Creator and the Simple Extended Character Creation Mod. Then head over to the Starbound forums and follow the installation instructions to get Starbound: Mass Effect Edition up and running. Good hunting, Commander.

Been replaying the Series. On ME2 right now. So my interest in BioWare's space opera is re-ignited.

They can take this in so many directions. What is everyone's thought on how they will do this new adventure? how will the galaxy look?

For me I can see the story revolving around a war between the council races. I'm imagining that we play a newly ordained Spectre where we can choose the race (Asari, Turian, Drell, Salarian and Human) of our protagonist. The Antagonist could be a mixture of "TIM", Udina and Saren. The story can be inspired a bit by Game of thrones as the council races fight for controlling power of the new status quo of the galaxy since the events of ME3. This new threat can be a Politician looking to be the up most ruler of the galaxy.
I hope the game takes place 100/300 years after ME3. Maybe the first event could be the launch of a new mass relay. Which would allow us to explore the galaxy again and see all the changes and how the stranded races evolved without the mass relays.

Anyway my two cents. How do you all envision a ME4 to be like?

I can't remember who on here said this, but I can see ME4 being about the Yargs (the species in the Shadow Broker DLC) rising up and becoming a new threat in the galaxy.

Clearly the villain of ME4 will be Old Spice fueled Rasta Raptors led by Commander Shepard:

God forbid the Reapers ever make a reaper version of THAT.

What do you guys think about releasing an ME Trilogy remaster for PS4/XB1? 1080p/high-res textures/60fps, etc?

We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we'll share. Great to hear you're keen

Yes, include all the DLC and I'll buy it right away. Never played any of the ME1 or ME3 DLC, and even though I've played ME2 4 different times I love it so much I'll gladly play it a 5th.

So far all the last gen games that have been ported have had the DLC attached, thinking of Injustice and Tomb Raider so hopefully that ends up being the case if they go ahead with this. I've been hoping for a physical hard copy of that content for a while.

ME trilogy new gen port with all dlc would sure be an awesome must-have deal
