I hope they go all out on the graphics if they do a remake of ME1. Don't just make it look better, actually make it look like top modern graphics.

Yeah seriously, it could look amazing.

I just want to be able to play as different species in the next one. I'd friggin love to play as a Turian. Their designs are so cool.

Mass Effect 4 Marriage Proposal Will Make You Jealous

BioWare recently invited a gamer to play one level from Mass Effect 4. What she didn't know, though, was that the invitation was part of an elaborate marriage proposal.

A fan named Jackie asked BioWare Montreal to help her propose to her partner Amy, a fellow Mass Effect enthusiast. Writer Ann Lemay, lead level designer Colin Campbell, and QA analyst Barrett Rodych volunteered to help her with the surprise.

“I love being married. It’s my favorite thing about my life, and it’s a huge amount of what I enjoy about living, but being a videogame designer doesn’t often give me the opportunity to help someone else have a marriage,” Campbell explained to BioWare Blog. “This is rare and something that’s almost never going to happen to anyone in the industry, so as soon as I saw the opportunity, I jumped right on it.”

Studio manager Marie-Renée Brisebois sent a letter to Amy and Jackie telling them that they had won a fake contest called "A Day with Our Devs" at PAX East. The grand prize was a visit to BioWare Montreal and a chance to try out Mass Effect 4 before anyone else.

In Amy's hands-on demo of the game, she was asked to investigate a drone lab that recently went dark. What she didn't realize, though, was that this level was built specifically for a marriage proposal. She found subtle references to the couple's relationship throughout the facility. BioWare also included "safety nets" to ensure that she wouldn't die while making her way through the mission.

Eventually, Amy found a room with a lone console in the middle. Her and Jackie's nicknames for each other were spray-painted on the wall. She turned on the console to find a message waiting for her.

Dear Amy,

Jackie would like to ask you something.

Love,
All of us at BioWare

Jackie then proposed. Amy said yes. Half of this article's readers said, "Aww." The other half said, "Crap, I should've asked BioWare to help me propose. They would have let me play Mass Effect 4!"

Mass Effect 4 still hasn't been officially announced yet. The title and many aspects of the game are still a mystery. We do know, that the game will star a human hero who isn't Shepard. However, he may encounter familiar faces on his journey. The new protagonist can explore planets with a revamped Mako.

Though the game is in playable form, it still seems to be far from release. BioWare has only released concept art, renders and a prototype video thus far. BioWare's unwillingness to share screenshots or actual gameplay footage yet suggests that Mass Effect fans have a long wait ahead of them - a fact that makes this in-game marriage proposal all the more special.

lol it's not the first time that's happened with mass effect from what I understand hope they have a happy marriage

That's awesome, but did the article said the hero will be human? :csad:

they made that clear since E3 that this will be human's you play as & after that. But there's another team working another project at the same time that still has yet to be revealed. Maybe that one will let you play as any alien race you want. But they still have to give more info on that one. For now your a human with this one though

Ohh N7 armor, nifty.

I'm happy playing as a human. I imagine the other project is probably some sort of MMO.

oh that, no that is a nother project entirely. that started before these two but the reception wasn't great from the fan base destiney may have killed that cause it had similar elements. I think it's just another installment

No MMO, please. Did Bioware learn nothing from The Old Republic?

Well seeing that it's still a live and people are still playing it, No they didn't.

No interest in an MMO but I hope they have an extensive multiplayer planned for ME4. As long as the single player campaign isn't half-assed in favor of it, anyway. I was wary at first but ended up playing ME3 mp for well over a year.

That's the way it should be done. "If done at all" Always. but alot of other in the games ether industry can't pull it off or don't realize that's how it should always be done.

yeah well just remember halo didn't really have lore til 3 came about and that was through other medium's (novels ETC )/ outlets. that was never Bungie's strong suit and they were linked to Activision with Destiny, something was bound to be wrong some where.

Bioware still a different deal they still making money with Swotor and still making DLC from it seems.

Halo had lore and mythology. The ring itself. The Chief and his legacy. The library, the Flood, etc.

I don't even know how anyone can deny the mythology and lore of Halo.

Lol tell to half the reviewer's of games like Dan Rykerd ( it's early the morning& his last name is too similar to Jonathan Frakes character from the next generation) formerly of game informer, who's now part of giant bomb, & apparently he wasn't only one that had a story of someone sitting next to him saying "the lore" & his reaction was "F... what Lore ? what are you talking about? "all during the time halo 3 came out.

How it's possible most people have that story is funny. and anyway there's another half people that just played it but didn't give damn about the story some how had another reaction of "there's a story?" I know there's story other people, meh .

It just didn't read into them that there was til the other added stuff from outside of the games. most people didn't realize there was much of one til 3 came about and after wards . it's messed up when you actually meet these peeps... the other major stuff did come from other source of halo too. well with the later stuff.

I'm not the least bit interested in a Mass Effect MMO either, but it seems to be the way a few developers have gone (Bethesda, for example). No doubt trying to capture some of that World of Warcraft success. Personally I'd rather they focus on spectacular single player games, but it wouldn't surprise me if they announced some form of massive online game either.

SW:TOR was largely a disappointment to EA/BioWare. I hope that makes them wary of doing the same to ME.

EDIT: EA.

MMOs are kind of on their way out anyway. Even Blizzard acknowledges that. I don't know what you guys are worried about.

If its a full fledged game I think its going to be some kind of online shooter like the one they were planning prior to ME3.

I think Soapy's right in regards to the wane of the MMO side of things, and after the huge investment into Old Republic didn't pay off I can't imagine EA is looking to pull off a repeat.

Human hero :down
Revamped Mako

The first ME game had a special atmosphere the next two games lacked. You drove around desolate alien settings, and gunned down husks or Thorian creepers in deteriorating structures. The universe felt vast and hateful toward life (you know... the way the universe actually is).

My hopes for ME4 are similar in a lot of ways to my hopes for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I want them to return to their classic roots, but improve on them.

My advice would be never half ass anything if you're going to do it at all. Both the Mass Effect 4 campaign and multiplayer are independently 2 of my most anticipated things from the early part of this generation.
