Cool. I thought you were talking to me. :yay:
I honestly wasn't thinking about any poster when I wrote that.

BTW:

I love when Superman news comes out, it's an exciting time. Disappointment with Zod being the villian aside, this is a great cast that the are putting together.

Superman as a brawler and Zod as a technical fighter would make for some great stuff.

You know how some people take things personally around here. :woot:

Yes it is exciting. We've still got Lex, Perry, Jimmy, Ursa (maybe), Jor-El, Lara, Brainiac (hopefully). I just wish it'd be a little quicker.

I wish it were going a little bit quicker too. I'm strange how the only release the news on Sunday though.

You remember the day that Bale was announced? :wow:

I remember where I was and what article I read announcing Ledger's casting.

I just don't get it though, Zod has all of Supermans powers check...he has Ursa as his back up check...

he may even have more back up...

But Brianiack is a singular villain whose powers are 100% different from Supermans, everything from massive energy beems to super powerful psy based attacks. Plus add that the possibility of a regenerating biomechanical body... that can simply live in machines................ COME ON~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's better then Zod.

I for one would be strangely fascinated in seeing Snyder's take on Nuclear Man.

I think for some, it's like getting the same Christmas present that you got a few years back....and you didn't need a new one...and the person giving the gift knows they gave you the same thing back then.

Have you been taken over by a bot?

I don't mind Zod and I think if he is used as a terrorist who caused the ban on Krypton's space program he has value-merging him with Jax-Ur,basically- actually makes him a huge Kryptonian criminal, basically Krypton's Pol Pot if he were to have caused the massacre at Wegthor, but I'm not big on the storyline that Johns came up with and Non has no business being in such a prominent position. And there should never be a death penalty on Krypton in Jor-El's time. Krypton had abolished it years before Jor-El found the Phantom Zone.

But making Zod a player in the Last Days of Krypton makes him more important to the story and better as a villain. As for how Superman would stack up to him in battle, no matter how good Zod was as a General, Supes has a lifetime of experience with his powers. Superman is more skilled than Zod, which he would need to be since he also does not kill and works to save lives, whereas Zod could care less who gets hurt/killed in their battle.

Sequel.

It's Zod, so be it. I'm gonna accept it.
I'm really hoping for, and expecting, a fight like we have never seen before. Something like the aerial battle in Matrix, Spider-man vs Doc Ock in SM II, and the damage in cloverfield only more of it, all combined into one big smorgasbord.

I dont want to just see one city street or block damaged either, I want to see half or more of Metropolis damaged and on fire and smoking. I want to see cars used like bats, and subway cars and ships used like rams.

I remember people saying "relax" and that we weren't getting a rehash of "Superman: The Movie" when the villain and plot were revealed for Returns in 2005/2006. Love, hate or meh on that film, it was a rehash.

Again I'm not giving up on the film because of this news because Shannon is a good and interesting actor so something good could be done with the character but I'm not going to pretend that I'm not disappointed at this conformation of Zod.

But did Singer from the beginning say that SR wouldn't have any ties to the Donner films? Plus he hadn't even bothered to read any Superman comics.

Singer said from the beginning that SR would be a continuation Superman 1 & 2, completely disregarding 3 & 4.
