Totally agree a Z doesn't really make sense anyway cause its a family crest not the first letter of their surname. Wasn't there some speculation it was the russian looking symbol?

Reshoots went down few weeks back. A courtroom scene I believe. Buddy of mine was supposed to be an extra but couldn't make it. So no juicy (read: *****y) gossip on Shannon.

I thought they did a okay job in making a 'z-like' symbol work on Smallville for the character:

I loved the use of the Z in the Jim Lee Zod design. I know that it didn't really make sense but it still looked awesome to me.

Wacthing 'My son, my son, what have you done?' And if he even brings half the intensity and how chilling he is in this film - he is going to be an AMAZING Zod, like Heath was for Joker. This guy is gonna nail being the best Superman villain on film.

What makes Zod a special villain? Im not very familiar to this section. Is he some kind of Anti-Superman? I read that he was from same planet as Kal-el, in this case I see it that Superman was an ordinary person of Krypton and Zod is more like a fighter of Krypton. That makes him more dangerous...Am I right? Anything else I need to know about him before this movie hits?

All we know is that he's a general on Krypton and that he has a "confrontation" with Jor-El (Supes' father) there. The rest is pretty much up in the air regarding the reboot.

You pretty much right.It's personal with zod unlike all superman other villains.He come from the same planet as superman and he knew superman dad.Yea he dangerous because he have the same powers as superman and he a military general and Skilled Warrior.
