I guess they really wanna make him stand out from the other Kryptonians.If this war on krypton thing is tru then the armor make even more sense.Shannon said that it was really big and cumbersome and if they made a practical suit of what they wanted him to wear he wouldn't be able to move.he wouldn't be able to act out the scenes.That's why it's cgi.

Yeah, why they couldnt make it practical, because the very brief glipmses we've seen dont make it out to be too impractical.

Maybe the suit transforms constantly, or being mechanical/intelligent the suit needs a specific movement that Shannon cant portray or finally Zod is really agile and moves really fast which a semi-heavy practical suit would not allow.

Well I would assume it enhances his abilities even further, giving him a major edge over Superman.

One would think that he wears it before knowing about his newfound powers, but it appears he wears it during a battle as well. The suit might adapt to whoever wears it, thereby creating a superpowered suit, like mentioned above.

I think that might be the case..though you'd think that the guy would feel confident enough considering that he has more battle experience than Superman, and has another kryptonian on his side, with potential others as well to go up against Superman.lol

Why would he not wear it? It's the outfit he wore as a general on Krypton. Did you expect him to arrive on earth, discover he has powers and start running around naked? Besides...I'm sure the armor will give him an advantage over Superman. They could also show that while Zod is more experienced and has other Kryptonians with him, Superman is more powerful because he has been on earth a lot longer and maybe even has better control of his powers.

He wearing that black superman suit under his armor.We seen pics of him in the black superman suit.When the armor come off he gonna be left with that black suit.It's Kryptonian underwear!All the men on krypton wear it under there garment.faora didn't have that under her armor.What she had on under her armor look to be like a all chainmail suit.I think zod take the armor off when he get strong?Are superman beat it off him.

Maybe its the fact that he hasn't been on Earth for too long so he doesn't have that many powers as Superman, after all, Superman has been absorbing Sun's energy for 30 years.

No he will have all the powers superman have as soon as he get under the yellow sun and won't be as stong as superman at first but it will not take him long to get really strong.

This is how I see it. Plus, when you're up against someone who is as physically powerful as yourself, wearing armor can only give you an edge. It would be like wearing padding in a boxing match while your opponent has none.

Yes, I agree with you two. In his mindset he is a powerful Kryptonian general wherever he goes and is proud of that. He wouldn't take off his uniform and it's going to provide some form of bonus protection.

Apparently Superman gets his ass kicked like beyond belief in this film and barely is able to win except through trickery.

Apparently he plays a villain-type character. Heard about the movie last night when JGL was on Kimmel. Looks like a run of the mill action flick based on the trailer that played, but now I'm interested because of Shannon.

That information was in the leak call sheet in march.It talk about Jor-El geting stab with a energy lance weapon among other things.Wb had every website take the call sheet down.It's still some information out there about it.The information about the energy lance weapons are no longer around as wb had the sheet with that info on it taken down.
