yea i would love to see how in tas form, i know a bit more about that take on brainiac then the other version. Though i have read online about the other take on brainiac. A techno brainiac made on krypton would be a nice way to have him and gives him a great connection to kal-el/superman.

I would LOVE to see Brainiac brought to life on the big screen. However, if they do indeed retell the origin of Superman, I really feel they'd be better off settling for Lex and a rogue like Metallo, though I am also sick of the kryptonite threat. I just feel a villain like Brainiac (Who is quickly usurping the mantle of Superman's greatest nemesis from Lex) deserves to be built up for a great sequel. In the STAS opener, you find out how Brainiac betrays the Krytonian Race and leaves them to die without warning in the planet's explosion, and then later on in the series, after a few episodes have past, you finally get the confrontation of Last Son of Krypton vs. Kryptonians' Killer.

Though, he's not an alien, telling a story with Metallo is relatively easy and the best choice if the film is indeed an origin movie. But I'd prefer the final product resemble a smaller version of this Metallo rather than the terminator one.

yea me too i seen those giant metallo pics from games/or comics and think a regular human size metallo would be a better way to go with the character if he was ever used. I was kinda hoping before doomsday was picked for season 8 of smallville for them to done metallo instead.

Yeah, give him some Iron Man-esque rocket boosters and we can still have the epic hero/villain air battles without tapping into Superman's A-List rogues, too.

Well, it's really a must in a Superman movie. As much as I hated Hancock, that flick did have some cool aerial combat moves the studios could look at for inspiration. There, and Superman Returns: The Videogame. I loved the one where he jumps backwards in the air and slowly spins before spearing forth at the enemy. THAT would look great on the big screen.

i got to agree their stas brainiac was pretty great one of his best villains in that show. Though second place brainiac has to be smallville for more. I think he was one of the better dc villains they brought into the show and loved what he brought to the show.

I'd love to see it open with Supes already in the middle of a fight with a throw away villain like Metallo for instance. You could have Metallo being sent by Luthor in yet another failed attempt by Lex at killing Superman. Metallo loses after about a 5 minute tussel. A few cars thrown, a few punches, etc.

I really don't like the idea of ever throwing in characters just to have them there. Each character used should be a big part of the story, especially someone with such a great background as Metallo. Which villain in Batman Begins was the "throw away" villain? There weren't any. Three villains an they were all utilized justly.

I agree. Though, even if for some god forsaken reason they would just throw in a foe like that just to be cast away a few minutes in, I would hope they wouldn't use Metallo. If anybody, I'd use this guy:

While I do see potiential in a Superman film with Parasite as the main villain...I don't know...I've just always seen him as the most small time, super-powered, thug in Supes' rogue gallery.

Because he is...he's a one trick pony, set up to basically pound on Supes. And that's it. No way could Doomsday carry an entire film on his shoulders. But every one of the primary villains could...and some like Lex have.

Brainiac. And at the end when Supes has beaten him Brainiac says something like
"You may have defeated me, last son of K,k,krypton but their is no defeating... HIM."
"Who?"
"Their is no defeating HIM... And he is coming."
WHO!?"
"Their is no defeating HIM... And he is coming... For you."
Brainiac self destructs.

Setting things up for Darkseid in the third one rather nicely...

I'd rather see Darkseid in a Justice League movie, but seeing as how that may never happen, that would be an interesting compromise.

Neither could Parasite or Metallo unless they were teamed with Lex. Though, Metallo could...possibly...if they give him a strong enough storyline.

I would like the Eradicator if it's an origin film, and that's if they're definitely using an alien. Otherwise I would use Lex and either Parasite, Metallo, or Bizzaro as a punching buddies with hopefully some personality. If aliens are a must, Eradicator for the first, Braniac for the second, and Darkseid or Mongul for the third (though Darkseid would probably be better for a Justice League movie).
