That logic doesn't totally work for me personally. We're guaranteed a super villain next time around, that doesn't mean we'll get a great Superman film or even one that is better than SR or unites the fan base.
What I was saying before though Doom, even in a new reboot, its longevity as a franchise isn't certain ya know? It's like SR, Singer assumed he'd make another one with Brainiac or whoever but that didn't happen. So maybe a new guy comes in with a new take on things, and it bombs there we go again.
I'm just sympathetic to Darkseid fans is all. It's gonna take a long while to see him on screen, especially if he is considered a villain that works best later on in a series of films. I don't necessarily think so. I think in a whole new origin reboot trilogy kind of deal, he can be introduced in the first during the Jor-El/ Krypton stuff and be the third in the climax ya know?
