Davy Jones is still the best cgi peice ever, SM3 raised the bar in overall cgi that I am assuming AWE will top, but for a singal peice of CGi DJ is the realistic thing ever, if you didn't know you couldn't tell that is cgi

this film should certainly break the 150 million dollar barrier in the US alone... it will do that good... gain that much money, 150 million should be their target... as that's a lot of money

In that featurette "Pirate Lords", we see them flashing their Pieces of Eight. Also, notice that Beckett has one...perhaps winning the war against the EITC won't be as easy as the Pirates thought it would be.

For those who didn't like DMC... how is this one shaping up? More of the same child-geared crap? Or back to the "yo ho, yo ho" GREAT movie time for me a la POTC1?

Tempest 19 saying, sorry for being harsh- it's just the first POTC was a really great, 'artistic', dark film and the second film seemed to be more geared towards children which I didn't like. Thus, the harshness of the above symbiotic message.

Seen it. But, the trailers for DMC- at least for me- didn't truly show the film I got in theaters... but, with you guys seeing clips and probably reading the book already... is it the same 'kiddie flair' of DMC or is it back to the 'darkness' of COTBP?

Well I love DMC, but this is darker this time around. So you'll probably like it better.

This one also has much better fight scenes than DMC or tCotBP.

Great. The darkness is part of what made the film film good... first film- proving that a great serious and fun movie can come from a Disney ride. DMC seemed more like a quick buck. But, if what you say is true- hopefully it will allow me to forgive DMC.

there is a pretty good article in Entertainment Weekly, Jack Sparrow is on the cover....EW says AWE is still the widespread favorite to own the summer... good stuff. pretty funny interview with Johnny Depp as well...Im extremely excited and extremely pissed about AWE, excited because its so close....pissed because AWE wont be on IMAX in Georgia. Sadly i settled for a regular screen $9.75 ticket....
