Perhaps they're banking on nostalgia. I get nostalgia for a lot of things that I know, deep down, really weren't that great. Like Care Bears. But not Gummi Bears. Gummi Bears was, is, and ever shall be the best cartoon ever. Period.

That's a half truth.

The reason is that Gummi Bears was equally as good as (but not better than) Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles. They all tie for number one, as it is not within human capability to choose one over the other.

[O-Ren Ishii]YOU LIE.[/O-Ren Ishii]

The Care Bears were awesome with those awesome f'ing atomic laser weapons they had. Y'know, the ones that shot out of their stomachs.

Wow, it looks like Larroca remembered how to use black. His art looks much better there than it did on the Sensational Spider-Man Annual. But who the hell are half those people? Like that chick with white hair and a yellow mask? Or Old-&-Angry there? And is that Hepzibah of the Starjammers? In short: what the ****?

I concede this round to you. Tale Spin, Duck Tales, Gargoyles, and Darkwing Duck were indeed equals to Gummi Bears. They were the true titans of weekday afternoons (followed by junior titan-in-training Goof Troop).

Yeah, someone must have reminded Sal he's a "penciler" not an "outliner".

Goof Troop was intentionally left off the list for that exact reason. It will always be remembered as a quality show, yet it never achieved the status of excellence the other programs did.

Somebody was selling Gummiberry Juice on Ebay a while back. It was probably red bull and grape juice :o

It occupies the prince's throne just below The Venture Brothers, along with Harvey Birdman and the pre-Fast Forward TMNT series.

I've seen all of the ones at the first link already and I don't give a crap about the ones at the second and third links. So I can't speak for everyone else, but I, at least, definitely don't care. :)
Haven't watched TMNT since the FFW. Guess I'm not missing much?
Nope, not at all. The Fast Forward stuff isn't terrible, but it's definitely not even close to anything from the previous seasons. It doesn't really feel like the TMNT the way the previous seasons did.

I don't know, man. Fast Foward is pretty bad. The character design alone is horrendous.

I kind of liked Starley in the few episodes I watched. Other than that, it was kind of lame. Leonardo's swords really sucked. I kept wondering how he didn't fall over, since it looked like he was lugging around ****ing bastard swords.

Michelangelo's initial choice to go with a giant mech during their weapon selection was pretty funny, though. That was one of the only times it really felt like Fast Forward was the Ninja Turtles.

I've got an abandoned network of Quick Tunnels in my basement. With a little work....
