The Official Previews Thread

From this point on, my apartment building will be known as Castle Dunwyn.

Preview of Avengers Classic #1!

I can't wait. The Oeming part looks great. I've never seen him do watercolors before (at least I think they're watercolors). The shiny parts of Iron Man could use some work, but it's an interesting experiment for him.

The Stan Lee/Kevin Maguire part looks like it'll be a lot of fun. Maguire's Stan doesn't really look much like Stan to me, but I haven't seen much of him from way back in the '60s, so I could be wrong. Either way, Maguire's trademark facial expressions look great, as always, and it'll be nice to see Stan revisit the characters he created with tongue firmly in cheek.

Previews for the covers for X-Men #200:

And it looks like Gambit's running around with the Mauraders again. :down

Why does Marvel not seem to know what to do with him? The cartoon made him a household name, and Marvel keeps on keeping on with the character assasination.

Also included is a preview for the Endangered Species on-shot. Scot Eaton should never be allowed to draw the X-Men.

I'm seriously going to have to write up a pitch for Gambit and send it to Marvel, it has to be better than all this crap they're doing. Gambit is as popular as Wolverine to the mainstream public. Every X-Men movie "Where's Gambit? Where's Gambit" C'mon Marvel. And the sad thing is, the one person who could possibly do something with him that would make him relevant Brubaker, won't touch him with a ten foot pole.

I hate how the Gambit fanboy in me comes out.:csad:

Yeah, it's pretty embarassing.

But you bring up good points, although I don't know if Brubaker is the only person who could put him to good use.

What's wrong with Scotty's pencils? They look good.

Wow, that Ramos cover sucks.

It might be his best work in quite a while.

His Wolverine and Beast are terrible. That's what's wrong.
Are we looking at the same art? The beast in the funeral scene looks okay to me, considering the depictions of his cat form in the last few years. The battle scene's not as good, I'll grant you that.

Don't see the problem with Logan though.

In one of the pages, Wolverine looks to be in nearly the same pose from that awful Jason Pearson cover that was released not too long ago. I'm just not an Eaton fan. His stuff always looks off to me.

I'm really tired of this whole "...and when the rubble clears things will never be the same and a team member wont survive!" I've had it with all the freakin' throw away deaths in marvel these days...

Okay, I can dig it.

This got me really excited... until I realized it was the stupid Marvel Adventures Avengers. :(

I'm glad Namora just appeared in the Hulk's comic, otherwise I'd be wondering if the whole Agents of Atlas mini was in the Adventures continuity.

Yeah...the comic is trash. I wanted to like it so much I almost convinced myself it was somewhat readable, but it's not.

C'mon, isn't "trash" a little harsh. It's meant for kids. I kind of like it for what it is.

So am I, but I don't think it is. I think you're comparing it to something it's not intended to be.
