The Official Previews Thread

I don't mind the cover. I'm a sucker for huge group shots like that no matter who's drawing them.
Yeah, but you've already said that you like Campbell. I like group shots in principle, too, but I'd probably still object if Humberto Ramos drew one.

I don't like Campbell, like I'd buy anything he's doing. I just don't dislike him to extent that most of the people on the boards do. He's popular, so it's cool to hate on him, just like anything and everything. This cover in particular is pretty.

You wouldn't be able to see the group past his women's humongo breasts and dagger chins. :p

It's popular to hate Turner too, but that doesn't mean he doesn't suck. :oldrazz:

No, you're right. But I wouldn't say that Turner sucks. I'd say he's just not very good most of the time. I still like the Punisher/Spider-Man cover he did CW.

I agree, some of his drawings are enjoyable in spite of their technical shortcomings. Happy flukes, I call 'em.

There is just no pleasing you sometimes. On a side note, I just had a nice experience, I'd like to share.

[THREAD HIJACKING]So I just came back from a 15 minute break and I'm approaching the elevator, right? And there's this lady in it already, and I'm like, "Hey lady, hold the door, will ya?" And she takes one look at this manly face full of magnificent beard, which is clearly too much for her to handle and she proceeds to frantically push the close door button over and over with a horrifed look on her face. I'm almost there just as the door's closing, and with the last sliver of space between the two halves, I see her with her eyes closed and body clenched, bracing for the worst. Or best. Depending on how you look at it.[/THREAD HIJACKING]

rofl! what a *****.

Newsarama's got a preview of Avengers Classic #4. Unfortunately the preview pics are all of the reprinted material. But damn...that Art Adams cover sure is nice looking.

Adams' cover is mostly great, but I think he gave Cap a bit too much in the jowls department. It's like he didn't scale his face up to match the size of his head or something. Other than that, however, damn fine work as always. I've loved Art Adams since the very first Marvel trading card set, which he drew a lot of the cards for. I just wish he'd do more interiors these days.

Yeah, the lower jaw is a little wide. It doesn't bother me though. I'm not a trading card guy, but I might just check them out if there's Adams art to behold.

Oh, there is much Adams art. Also, some Simonson, Larsen, Romita Sr., and Bagley art, among others.

They even had an article on the series on Marvel's website, from which I procured these gems:

That last Cap/Skull battle card is one of my favorites. I love the Red Skull's expression in the little mugshot at the bottom. :D

Marvel Presents looks awesome, and I'm looking forward to the Spidey convention. That has mass amounts of potential.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking off too. Those episodes were the best.

I never got to see much of the last season. The channel that aired FoxKids in my area dropped a bunch of its cartoons or switched them to ridiculously early times or something.

The last few episodes involved Madame Web gathering Spider-Men from across various dimensions. At the end, Web sent Pete to another dimension to meet "someone special" and it turned out to be Stan Lee. The last few scenes of the series were a little silly, what with Pete swinging around the city with an excited Stan hanging on his back.

Hahaha, that's hilarious. Between Animal Man, FF meeting Kirby-God, and She-Hulk, breaking the fourth wall is kind of a comic tradition at this point.

I own that set. I owned it, sold it in high school for quick cash, then during college bought it again from the same store I'd sold it too. Nostalgia heaven.

Art Adams definitely should do more interiors.

Hmm, I noticed that I type "definitely" a lot...
