I have two binders full of some of those cards. One is a Wolverine themed one especially made for cards. I also have a box with the first series I collected in packs, MARVEL SERIES 2, but as I was a kid they're really beat up. :(

Mine are all in pretty good condition. My dad would buy them and then I'd put them right in the plastic 9-card/sheet holders that my sister used to keep her Garbage Pail Kids cards in, and they've stayed there ever since.

Hahaha, that's hilarious. Between Animal Man, FF meeting Kirby-God, and She-Hulk, breaking the fourth wall is kind of a comic tradition at this point.

The dialogue was literally, "Well Stan, I gotta go find my missing girlfriend. Thanks for creating me!"

I'm sure it's all over Youtube. In fact I know it is. I just watched it not too long ago.

Newsarama posters are by far the dumbest ones on the internet. How they got an overly patriotic vibe from that preview is beyond me.

Ha, Hercules is all, "eviscerating people is bad... in this millennium." :D

Is it just me, or is that Wolverine art totally not Scott Kolins' art?

It's not. The Kolins issue is being resolicited as a special one shot. Chaykin's handling the art for this arc.

The funny thing about opinions is, they unfortunately don't need bases. They aren't baseball diamonds.

True. But that doesn't change the fact that I don't understand it. At least with Gulacy's recent work, people have mentioned why they're not into it.

I don't really have a specific complaint about his art, to be honest. I just don't really like his style as a whole. It's not even a vehement hatred or anything; I just find it uninteresting.
For this book, I'd rather have Chaykin on board.
Well, he's a better fit than Kolins, certainly.

Fair enough.

I should've clarified further, actually: I could enjoy Chaykin's style, but I just think it's totally wrong for superheroes. That's why I've quirked an eyebrow and passed when his name showed up on a Guy Gardner comic and Hawkgirl and now Wolverine. Granted, the Wolverine story is closer to what I think his style would work well on, but it's still Wolverine. Plus, those pages don't even look like they're up to Chaykin's usual standard.

Battlin' Jack has been great. It's a major credit to Wells that he can take a story we basically know all about already, including the outcome, and still wring drama and tension out of it. I keep hoping things'll work out for Jack and Josie'll become Mattie's new mommy. :(

Exactly! Everyone that's not reading it is missing out a very well written story.
