The Official Previews Thread

That's what I'm saying.

For once in my life I'm not being sarcastic.

THIS SHOULD BE A KIDS CARTOON!

Am I right?

I agree with ya.

Updated.

Why doesn't spider-sense work when
Peter tries to pick up Cardiac's staff?
I know this mistake would be worth at least 50 posts if Bendis wrote it.. ;)

I love Kirkman. He's got Cardiac in there who happens to be one of my favorite obscure characters. Not too keen on x-23 showing up, but I deal with that.

Another thing I've been thinking about (BEWARE SPOILERS) is Galactus.

Right now over in the Beta Ray Bill mini, Galactus is attacking with his herald Stardust. But he's also over in FF with Johnny Storm as his herald. I can accept that Galactus is doing these at two different times but from the way I read FF and BRB, it seems that both of these events are happening in the "present" meaning relatively soon after the events of Disassembled, based on the timelines in the respective books.

Anyone got any ideas?

this is the way marvel team up should be, constant new characters.

and yeah his sense should have gone off. there arent as many gripes because it isnt as heinous as bendis' errors.

Ah, yes. Doug, the Not-So-Much-Devourer-Of-Worlds-But-More-Like-Snacker-Of-Worlds.

I was just getting ready to do that.

If a writer's going to write in the 616, then he has to accept the responsibilities of it's history. Not continuity, history.

Yeah, Millar doesn't respect history, even though he's been using SpiderFan.org to check continuity, and if there is a continuity problem, often corrects it in the next issue.

And at the time of this flashback, it was most definitely not called Oscorp, in fact I don't think it was Osborn Industries then. I think it was still Osborn Chemicals then.

That is the easiest mistake to make. I would've made that mistake. And Oscorp isn't only a Ultimate invention. It's been used in the movie and 90's TAS.

This isn't the Ultimate Universe, it's the "real" Marvel Universe and it needs to eb treated as such.
Millar is the best writer in the Ultimate Universe at the moment, considering he doesn't acknowledge the 616 universe there. His ultimate universe Cap is nothing like the 616 Cap he wrote in MKSM. Yep, he sure doesn't treat 616 right.

It annoys the hell out of me when the Ultimate ideas leak into the 616.
Then blame Bendis. Millar has commited no crime.

Congrats on giving your opinion on something I said two months ago.

euroq did because this is the thread where he posts previews at popcultureshock.

Fine. But I still think what you said was a bit overboard, considering the smallness of the continuity error. Even if it was two months ago.

You're welcome to that opinion. But I don't feel it was small.

Getting back to the topic at hand, the MTU #5 preview...

There is also the matter of Sunfire, who is also currently actively appearing in Rogue's comic.

Shouldn't someone at Marvel be referree-ing all these appearances?

I'm more worried about the fact that you're reading Rogue.

C'mon.

'Gambit' wouldn't read Rogue?

What's the matter with you?

Having trouble putting 2 and 2 together today?

And another thing...

Silver Samurai and Lady Deathstrike appeared in same issue with Sunfire.

I miss those characters.

And the new writer seems to have a good story planned for them.

Yes... smarty.

I know I'm "just a dude".

But wouldn'tcha think that a fan of Gambit, the character, might in some small way have an attachment to the object of Gambit's affection, Rogue?

(shakes head)

Some t'ings, mon ami, should just be obvious, no?

Funny thing though.

Her comic isn't overflowing with mischaracterizations and continuity errors.

She's ok.But now that I find out siver samurai is in the book I'm interrested.

That was a nice surprise.

When I saw him in that panel I was like... [Marv Albert] "YYYYESSSSSSS!!!" [/Marv Albert]

Silver Samurai was always one of my favorite characters.
