wow i agree mrs.richards, ive never been a fan of ghost rider never bothered reading the comic, but this mini looks promising. ill make sure to get it.
 
Same with me. Ive always liked the idea of the character, but never had the oportunity to read any of the solo titles. This looks great though, so Im gonna get it.

I normally criticise painted art, but that GR does look pretty good doesn't it?

Exiles looks great, as usual. First issue with Pelletier, and I like having Beak as the point of view.

Anybody else interested in the Colossus mini? Normally, I don't get the related x-titles, but this one grabbed me. I'm glad it takes place in Russia, and I'm really glad they didn't put any backward R's or N's on the cover to make it look "russian." I hate that (one of my own pet peeves)
 
GR isn't painted, its digital art. It's the same guy who did the Venom vs Carnage mini. And yes, his work is simply beautiful.

Pulse looks great, also interested in the Daredevil story. Ben's not buying that store owner's story so I'm awfully interested.
 
im sorta bothered by young avengers, i dont like the premise of replicas of existing characters at least teen titans has a blend and thier own premise, but i hate young avengers for it.
 
wow. Wha...huh looks like it sucks goat @$$. i wonder how many trees they killed to let Bendis make his joke about characters dying again. aren't there funny writers who could have done this one-shot?

admit it. you haven't read one issue of Young Avengers and you have no idea what the premise is.
 
I'll admit that the "What if the Internet existed in 1965?" is kinda funny but I'm getting really sick of creators mocking the fans.

They should be rejoicing the we are interested enough in their work to actually care about things that could be seen as mistakes. But instead they take every chance they get to mock us and ridicule what we say/do.

I'm totally not buying Wha...Huh?
 
Well, I hate to disagree DBM (especially after that wonderful recommend you just made-Persepolis- go pick it up everyone), but I found that Internet joke to be spot on hilarious. How many times have I been told around here when I complain that I think someone is going too far that I'm "too sensitive and shouldn't be in the 'rough and tumble' world of the internet." Fans want to have it both ways: they want the opportunity to say the most foul things about people (real people) and get offended when a generalized jab comes their way. If the rest is as funny as what I saw, I'll definately be getting it. And I've said it many, many times: the Marvel Universe would not have survived if it came about in the Internet Age.

Well, you did generalize by saying "Fans" and "they" instead of using a personal singular pronoun.
 
Using that logic though, you could respond "speak for yourself" to almost anything written. And I do believe that fans want to have it both ways. I'm speaking for myself that this is what I believe.

yeah, i caught that part. i'm simply telling you that your belief is wrong. i'm a 'fan' and i could care less what they say about me as long as they take good care of the characters/entertain me.
 
See, now you're the one generalizing. You say that I'm wrong in my belief about fans, but the proof you offer me is what your own personal attitude towards the situation happens to be. And I'm telling you that I'm basing this "belief" off of what I see and read in places like this. I mean, if you think the majority of people around here are level headed and merely want a discussion based on facts, not heresay, etc, etc. that's your right. Personally, I think 'Bendis is teh suck' posts (Or Bendis is God, if you prefer) tend to be more the norm. Neither has much thought put behind them

i have no idea what you're talking about. and i've gone at length about what exactly it is i don't like about Bendis and why i don't like his writing. a lot of thought was put into it. has nothing to do with being level-headed or not.

face it. your as knee jerk about Bendis as i am. if he put his name on it, you would like it. you would swear up and down that it was going to be funny. you're like the Hamburglar doing a taste test between McDonalds and Burger King.
 
Young Avengers, that was some steam off my chest. I can't wait a little longer now.

Captain America is awesome. I can't believe I didn't pick this up when it started.
