Mark Rein?

Sony will announce a quadrupling of ND's team, resources and budget, a new space opera mega-franchise, 8 new Uncharteds, Crash Bandicoot on steroids and GoW4 on PS4 (leaving it open to interpretation as to whether its God or Gears of War 4) :woot:
 
I don't think it's saying that Epic Games will be doing Demon's Souls 2...just that Epic may have an announcement. Demon's Souls 2 has always been a given, IMHO. Dark Souls was just a way for From to get money... Everywhere.
 
I don't know if I would say that another Demon's Souls was always a foregone conclusion, but after the financial and critical success of Dark Souls it's definitely more likely.

Re: Mark Rein, rumors have persisted for years that Gears of War is going multiplatform. While I'm not expecting an announcment of Gears for PS4 at this event, it also wouldn't shock me.

I'm sure there will be another one now, but Dark Souls' success would be the driver. I don't mind Gears going multiplatform especially if this makes it more likely for it to be made, and made properly like the previous games rather than Judgment. In fact I may get a PS4 just to play next gen multiplayer & co-op on that with friends I could never play with before. Not that I think there's any suggestion that this is happening or that a Gears is even being worked on but if/when it does get made it wouldn't surprise me that much if it went multiplat. I think if Epic make an announcement it will be for a different game.
 
I'd love if it was some new IP exclusive to Sony... Not to rub anyone's rhubarb but I've never really cared for Gears much. I know the last one wasn't made by the same guys but it was one heck of an awful game...
 
It was but that's what pretty much the majority of Gears fans say too. My friends list is made up largely of Gears players and I never see any of them playing Judgment. For eg if a different company makes a crap Uncharted next while ND bring out a new IP it wouldn't take away the quality of the earlier games or the potential of a future properly done Uncharted game.

I liked the first three games, but yeah that new one looked awful. Plus CliffyB left too I think. Sony is swimming in so many exclusive IP's it's awesome! Having more is only more delicious icing on the cake.
 
I really would love if Epic resurrected Unreal Tournament and brought it to the PS4. The last one, UT 2007 was a timed exclusive for the PS3 and Epic gave it some exclusive features/content, most notably mod support as well as mouse/keyboard support, both of which tend to be unheard of in console games. It would be great if they repeated this with the PS4. It would probably be a great title to showcase Unreal Engine 4
 
You know.. I never thought about the possibility of Unreal making a return!

Eh... UT belongs on the PC. It's just too fast to be played on a controller. Of course that's assuming they wouldn't dumb it down / change it to fit consoles better. Which I wouldn't necessarily be that upset by. UT III wasn't very good largely because it was a totally uninspired rehash of the previous games.
 
My first memories of UT was with the Dreamcast and I thought it felt fine on a console despite the limitations that controller had. Even if it were to be on the PS4, of course there would be a PC version, so you wouldnt have to worry about not being able to play it there
 
I only played UT on the original Xbox (didn't have a computer and the home computer wasn't good for gaming) and I liked it too.
 
I'd love to see Unreal Championship come back, I loved both those games...
 
Something just came to my mind all of a sudden. I've had a launch edition ps4 pre ordered on amazon for a while now, I elected to go with 2 day shipping. Considering that this is a launch edition version does the shipping speed even matter? I recall reading that the launch editions guarantees that you'll get the ps4 delivered to you on launch day.

My launch edition has a delivery estimate of Nov 21-23 with standard shipping They have thousands of orders. They will prioritize those with the fastest shipping. This is what is written on the launch edition page:

The official release date for the PlayStation 4 is November 15, 2013. Confirmed orders will arrive at your shipping address based on the shipping speed selected.

Launch edition doesn't mean you'll get it on launch day. It guarantees you'll have the option to have it delivered depending on your shipping. If not, your PS4 is still among that first batch that is shipped out on launch week. You'll just get it a little later

Ya shipping speed matters. Mine for example is next day shipping and mine says expected delivery on November 15th itself, but because I paid for the best shipping. While others it may be a few days if you don't go the fastest shipping option.

Pre-ordering from Amazon usually gives the option of "Release Date Delivery", which is 2 day shipping and is also free if you are a Prime member.

Check your estimated delivery date. Mine is set to 2 day shipping but I will be getting it on the 15th because it's the release day delivery.
