I really want to try Killzone asap. My buddy is getting a PS4 at launch and I'm tempted to buy just the game if he doesn't so I can play it there. More likely I'll force him to get it. :)

Hey i got a question about the game upgrade thing, if you got a ps3 version of ghost and use the code for the ps4 , how does it work ? Or is it better just to upgrade the game to the ps4 version at eb games

I asked this months ago and I got an answer..but forgot,Do we need the camera to live stream in the Playstation Live app?

I mean is the camera's purpose just to show ourself on cam to our friends&strangers watching our streams or is it really required to record and live stream??

Won't you have to camp out or something to get one? Or do they have stock come throughout the day? If it's only stock before they open then it will be gone in 5 mins I would assume. :woot:

Dunno.

What I hear is that it depends on what store, and where. Bigger chain retailers will probably packed to high hell, and they'll probably run out fast. But, where I live there's a couple of small, out of the way, stores. The Bestbuy I shop at is relatively small, and in a small shopping center. I think it's like 30 mins away from an even bigger shopping center, where there's another Bestbuy that is always packed.

We might try the smaller Bestbuy, or maybe a KMART that I never see many people in too.

when I first saw it, it was on a soccer game.

when I was leaving, it was on a different game, but I couldn't tell which one.
Must have been FIFA 14.

Damn, I want to check out the stores but I'm on hols for a week now when it's all happening. At least my XB1 will be there a few days after I get back. And my mate's PS4 a few days after that.

Ok, well good luck mate! Hope you get one.

yeah, it was probably FIFA.

I was kind of in hurry to pick up another game ( Dark Souls.....lol ), so I didn't really have much time to observe.

I'll check my local Best Buy out, too. they probably have the demo up now as well.

I'm just kind of afraid if I touch the demo controller, I'll catch something and get sick ( which has happened to me in the past ).......lol

Wow, looks like Im getting a free PS4 game. Amazon sent me an email saying since I have multiple games preordered, I get to pick another for free. Now undecided as to which one. Its either Injustice or AC. Im leaning towards AC. Im definitely not looking forward to it but the fact that I wouldn't have to pay a dime for it makes me more willing to get it. Id pay for Injustice when it drops

hey, for anyone who's had the chance to play around with the demo, were you able to check out the home screen/dashboard?

if so, were you able to see if there's a video section where it looks like you can play mp4 video files?

They are demo units, they don't have access to the real OS.

Got that too. So I bought AC IV and Knack. Should have them all by Wednesday. Ready to rock

Amazon will be doing a Buy 2 get 1 free PS4 game deal started tuesday. Unfortunately the list does not (currently) include NFS: Rivals, but I think it includes everything else. If they manage to add NFS to the list I may end up getting that, AC, and Injustice.

So will any of you be using any of the new features to share with us on here?,I mean like will you be live streaming a game then post the link in the game's thread to check it out?or at least post gameplay photos that you've posted on Facebook with the"Share"button?

Even better would be if someone is stuck on a level or something then will you offer to virtually take over our controllers and help out one of us?

I see Angry Birds is on that list. Activision should be ashamed of themselves charging $50 for Angry Birds Star Wars. Last year's Trilogy was overpriced but at least it contained 3 AB games; this one is only one.

Would it be presumptuous to get in on that Amazon deal without knowing for certain if I'll get a PS4 this week? It's a good deal, but considering I'll be out on the hunt for a PS4, they could sit on my shelf for a while if I don't manage to get a system this week.

No. Even if you dont get the PS4 this week, do you expect to have it within the month? If so jump on this as the launch titles shouldnt be expected to get frequent sales, at least not $20 discount per game too often in the early months. You could always buy and then return if you dont get a PS3. You'd of course have to pay the shipping. OR you could just go to Target.

How Mandatory Game Installations Will Work On PS4

So after the confirmations and confusing wording/differences between installs and caches, it's official. You buy a retail disc game, it will slowly install the entire game to the HD and the disc will be nothing but a verification by that point. The amount of time between disc-in to play varies by game, and the data must be manually uninstalled.

I think Luis had this question in regards to how disc-based games will save data on your console.

http://kotaku.com/how-mandatory-game-installations-will-work-on-ps4-1462283797

If you are playing a disc-based game, the system will begin caching the disc when you put it in the console and get ready to play. The game is saving part of itself to the system's hard drive. The amount of data that has to be saved before you can start will vary per title. P

Cerny said that for the launch game he directed, Knack, users should only have to wait 10s of seconds to play the game. After that, as you play, the game will stream more content to the console's 500GB hard drive. Knack will use 37GB of space overall, as noted on the game's box. Obviously, it won't take many games to fill the console's hard drive.P

Cached/installed game data will stay on the hard drive until the user deletes it. Cerny said that there had been some internal discussions at Sony about having the PS4 auto-delete installed data from games that players hadn't used in a while. They decided against it, figuring that gamers would never want to feel "blindsided" and would prefer to make their data management decisions manually. Probably a good choice!

EDIT: Beaten.

Sony's PS4 unboxing video gives life back to music... I mean games!
