I don't know why, it just never really occurs to me to listen to custom music in my games.

I know, right?

Personally I would much rather listen to the music that was made/chosen specifically for that game.

In open world games I listen to music sometimes, if I'm just messin around. In ACIV I listened the a lot of pirates of the caribbean music

Yeah, I have every episode of Game of Thrones' first three seasons on my PS3. I loved how easy it was to turn the PS3 into a media centre. I was a little disappointed they left that out of the PS4, but I can live with it since my PS3 isn't going anywhere in the near future.

Custom music works wonders for those free roam games like the Skate series, Need For Speed, Sleeping Dogs, etc.. Batman Arkham City having it was great for when I was cleaning up the rest of the game and doing the challenge rooms. Even Red Dead Redemption had it and I used it when exploring the wilderness looking for collectibles or treasures. I do agree that some games just don't need it and that's fine but when starting a new PS3 game something I always eventually do is try to play my own music to see if it's available.

If I could have my own music in inFamous Second Son, that'd be awesome. I do love the soundtrack in the game and I listen to it on my iPod pretty often but music only comes around every once in a while (I think when combat is initiated) and it'd make sense for a character like Delsin to have earbuds in while he travels the city. It'd be cool if when you activated custom soundtrack an animation occurs where Delsin puts in some earbuds.

It makes those games a lot more fun at times in my opinion since sometimes the game's music itself is lacking or barely a part of the game. I also miss putting my own movie files on my system as well and I hope that's implemented soon. If I can at least have a media server capability that'd be fine as well.

There are a ton of games that I just flat out hate the soundtrack and it gets way too repetitive. Case in point Madden and most sport games

I only listen to my custom music during online game modes,It pumps me up,Just added the Legend of Zorro soundtrack to a playlist on it's own so I'll probably be using that for AC IV and DC universe too when just roaming around

I really like Custom Soundtracks for open world & driving games.

The only game I ever put custom music in was Burnout Paradise.

BP had great music built- in but was repetitive.

Anyone play the Show? MLB. I've never played it before and online you just jumo into middle of the count. What type of bullcrap is this? Is there any way to just play a normal game

I have MLB 14, but I haven't played online. The setting you're talking about is called Quick Counts. It can be disabled and enabled in offline play (the default is disabled). Like I said, I don't play online (I don't currently have an active Plus subscription), but maybe there's a setting for online play somewhere where you can turn off Quick Counts and only find games online that play normally. Looking it up, someone mentioned that you have the ability to change the settings in the Game Rooms. I don't know if that's accurate, but it could be something to look into.

Yes, just disable Quick Counts. That is a feature they added to help speed up the game, playing an entire season takes a lot of time. I think it uses that player's averages over the last year to determine what their count will be before throwing you in.

Every Thursday there's an Indy game developer who does a live podcast talking&showing his work and talking about games in general,Every Friday night there's a woman's talk show,There's often DJ's playing music from home or places,I've even seen a cooking show,There's been a show with a guy talking&showing all latest tech..Oh yeah and live sex shows

If I didn't have roommates that would get seriously pissed off I would blow every other DJ out the water with my **** haha. But alas, they don't like bass music at 4 am when I've had a few and get back home from the club

And also it seems weird to me to stream DJing from the PS4 camera, they sound quality would be horrible and as far as I can tell there is no way to run it through the system

Sound is fantastic and their sound systems help,the cam is not too bad visual quality either

Well count me in. I just got home with my PS4! So im now the proud owner of both 'next gen' consoles.

Picked up inFamous and will prob download MLB 2014 later.

Overall Im digging the system. Theres a few things that I feel should work better, but I'v felt that way with every console iv owned. Love how fast games install to the HDD as its the complete opposite on the XB1.

Question, how long has it taken some of you to download these games? I know it takes a few hours for some of my XB1 games, but none of them are as large as MLB.

I haven't purchases a real next-gen-only game since the launch of PS4, so my memory is a little fuzzy, but I don't remember it taking very long at all.

Hm, thats good. Cuz a 9 gig game like Spider-Man took me like an hour to download on the One and I have that connected via ethernet. I think MLB is like 50 gigs, and im using wireless for my PS4. Guess i'll find out tonight, hah.

Thanks. Yea I had to get my sister to go in with me, so we'll be keeping the system downstairs, which actually works out as thats where my 42" TV is. I only have a 32 in my room.

Im now MUCH more invested in E3 this year considering i now have both consoles haha.
