I'm at work but I'll call them right now. The only other thing about this is the fact that the Ds4 in the bundle didn't come in its own box. It just came in a wrap. If you saw my unboxing or any other video, you know what I mean.

But let's see what the rep at bb says.

hope it works out for you!

OMG, I just learned that someone made PC drivers for the Dualshock 4. Playing games configured for the X360 controller feel so much better now

yap! the guy on the phone said to just bring it in with the receipt and go straight to customer service :word:

word, I heard that what you gotta do is trick your PC into thinking it is a 360 controller.

however... is the Ds4 even really better than the 360 controller? I thought that was hauled as the greatest gamepad of all time.

although i think the xbone controller (besides the bumpers) > Ds4.

ya but didn't they replace it eventually with this

in hindsight the controller is just sexier (i don't think the original was sexy) but apparently it gave the option to transform the d pad, like this

The D-Pad still sucks bc of its location. That's not something they can really change without a major revision of the controller. Anyways, the DS4 controller is the best on the market. Im playing through Skyrim with it and its so much better than my DS3

that's like saying the left analog stick on the dualshock sucks because of its location. asymmetrical joysticks were the design route microsoft chose to go with and seemed to have worked for them, because the general consensus last generation was that the 360 had the superior, if not best controller ever.

DS4 is perhaps the best designed.. But it's made fairly cheap and I'd still take the 360/One controller over it for FPS games.

so what? That's a valid reason for people that hate the DS3. I cant stand the Xbox's Dpad location bc they are too close to the face buttons. Playing 2D games and fighters never feel comfortable for me as a result

Most games that are big in gaming are 3D therefore the D-pad is irrelevant. When it comes to fighters, the PS3 has almost always been the preferred console bc its controller is better adapted for that genre than the 360

I'm sorry but I find there to be very little appreciable difference between asymmetrical and symmetrical . With symmetrical my thumbs are side by side and with asymmetrical my thumbs are diagonally placed . In terms of space between the sticks it's barely any difference and if the position difference really affects your gaming you've got bigger problems than the stick placement. I've played with the 360 and the PS3 controller for 8 years and it's never made a difference which one I use.

dude come on! those inputs have to be placed SOMEWHERE! sony just chose one design and microsoft the other. i imagine it ain't fun playing fighters on 360 but it's not impossible, otherwise sales for 360 versions of fighters would be way lower compared to Ps3 than they already are, even though the Ps3 versions sell better

they do and I don't like where they are on the 360 controller. What do you want me to do? Apologize for not finding them comfortable? Sony chose the design that's been used since the beginning of gaming, that's the one I grew up on and what feels most familiar to me. I don't begrudge anyone for preferring the 360 controller or disliking the DS3. Whatever reason they have for that opinion is valid bc being comfortable when gaming is vital and if a design is off putting in a certain class of game, then that's their prerogative to seek out a device that's more appealing

well... yeah I grew up on the dualshock gamepad too but yo... well I don't even know what to say because like, microsoft wanted to be different or something?? people generally like the xbox gamepad for shooters and in my opinion fifa is better with their joystick placement as well.

there's really nothing left to be said.

thanks man, and add me on your other PsN!

eh. you could probably just cancel your friend request for that other PSN ID.

my Raven8XE is my main PSN ID, so I probably won't even be using that other one.

there's nothing for you to say. It is what it is and that's that. People have different preferences for their controllers and Ive explained one issue Ive had with the 360 controller (I also hate the bumpers). You don't need to agree with me nor am I trying to change anyone's opinions on a controller. I really don't care what the majority feel; I can only comment on myself as really that's the only person Im worried about when I pick up a gamepad and am deciding if its comfortable enough for me for the specific game Im playing

aside for the lightbar draining the battery, the DS4 is pretty much perfect for me. it just feels so comfortable in my hands.

i'll just leave it there till you decide to add me

I'm kind if in the same boat.. But with the DS3 I swear my thumbs were constantly rubbing off of each other.

well........that might be a long, long, long time.............:cwink:

as I said, I'm probably not going to use that ID anymore.

you never know yo

and hey, if you ever play a split screen game and your friend doesn't have a PsN, you could just use that

Yea it's a fantastic pad, but I think they went backwards on the d pad. It's extremely unresponsive. Pulling off the quarter moves in Injustice was far more difficult than it should of been. It reminds me of the early 360s dpad

It could be my style tho. Iv always rolled my inputs, meaning if a move is down, forward punch, I'd roll the down and forward into one motion rather than two separate button presses

hmmm.....I do the rolling motion, too. but I didn't seem to have any problems in Injustice. not that I remember at least.

lol. that's true with me...........:oldrazz:

Yo so I went to best but with my receipt and ds4, explained the situation to the guy at customer service and he was just like, OK lemme see if I have any white ones in stock.

So he came back with my receipt and a new white ds4 in hand, took the new one out of the box & handed it to me and put my old one back into the packaging...

I didn't have to sign anything or nothing. It was kinda weird. But hey, I got me a new ds4
