That and the DX 12 thing is not what they are saying even the president of MS Games said it's not what people are hyping it up to be. For someone who claims to have Sony consoles you sure do complain about them a lot.

They really should invest in new teams.

I'd love a new Crimson Skies, or a revival of Perfect Dark.

yeah but if microsft keeps on buying the timed exclusive rights to it, then it's gonna be recognized as an xbox franchise. besides being a 3rd person open world, SO's got nothing to do with infamous, man.

But all the things you are complaining about are small things. Real small things. Sony has no sign of slowing down. And do a pretty good job listening to their fanbases. More so then MS a year ago. Sony learned and ate humble pie last generation, and turned it around and despite being a year later in the console war the PS3 is now outselling the 360.

Buying exclusives won't mean much when most have the PS4...which a lot do. And trust me MS will not be dumping as much money as they have in the past in "buying" timed exclusives.

dude, the xbone ain't even out in as many territories as the ps4. and most deals in retail are better on xbone than Ps4. for example, the white console bundles for each platform, on xbone you get the game for free (so) and Ps4 you get only $10 off (destiny). then there's the cod bundle with the terabyte in which you're also getting the game for free. AND of course there's halo... with nothing on Ps4 to compete with it this christmas.

last generation, sony was losing one 3rd party exclusive game after another, and it was clearly bothering their fanbase; they didn't think it necessary to secure forthcoming 3rd party exclusives and pretty much didn't care if they went multiplatform. so there's that.

You do get a physical copy with the PS4.

I'm not saying the Sunset Overdrive bundle is a bad deal, but the Destiny Bundle gives you an actual physical copy.

i don't get why that even matters. you get the game. period.

it's the same thing to me with people complaining about the sizeable adapter/power brick for the xbone and 360. like, what's the big deal? it's just gonna sit in the back and you'll never see it. if anything you can use it as a goddamn paperweight too.

MS has more money, but they are also hurting (just reduced their force by 20,000. Also under new leadership they realize that their core competence is software. They have had cut backs in their gaming division, and are having to be more careful with their money. So...they have more money but I don't think the new CEO will be dumping lots of it in there especially after such a massive reduction of workforce.

And you keep parading Halo around as well. The game is popular...but times change. The main reason people buy certain consoles is a lot due to "what their friends are playing". It's the social world. People want to do nothing but play with their friends online.

So if someone goes up to their friend this fall and says...what should I get (they want to play with their friends) right now 2/3 of them will say "We have PS4". So it's highly likely that pushes even more to go that way.

Now, will Sony make stumbles? Yes I'm sure of it. But honestly your complaints are the smallest things and you are making a mountain out of a molehill. And that makes me question your motives. You claim you love Sony, but you really do parade MS around like they have become some kind of gods.....when it's farthest from. They may have turned some things around, but you are acting like Sony has crashed the ship. Compared to the PS3 era....which they won by the way...they are on fire. So why don't we worry about it when it's something bigger and actual numbers start backing you up.

That and looking at most of your posts...I think you have an X1, not a PS4. To me there is a difference between worry which you claim, and you hoisting MS up on your shoulders.

Someone needs to bump up the old Xbox One vs PS4 thread in the general forum for this stuff. Its draining how even when things start to look up, they seem to lead back to this same discussion which goes nowhere

(hell I'm actually thinking about getting an X1 next year) But XtremelyBaneful all he does is talk about how Sony is doomed, and MS is doing things better. In almost every post I seem to see this. bro, i have openly admitted to being a playstation fanboy but trying to be a rational one; i'm not gonna sit here and talk **** about the xbone all day because it is dope; i like its features, i like it's controllers (minus the bumpers), it's got its own great games and all, BUT i don't ever want it to take the lead from Ps4 or even come close. i want the numbers to reflect the 6th generation. that's all. and i don't consider the Ps3 to have won, to me it's a tie between it and the 360. one of them may have sold a few million more, but what's a few million when were talking tens of millions of consoles sold.

the price drop did not help to outsell the Ps4 but i'm sure it closed the gap a little. everything else you pretty much covered, can't say anything to rebuttal

yeah and that pisses me off... sure those people who got laid off have a great resume with microsoft written on it but wtf... why would they keep doing that when they're still making a ton of money and could've found a way to keep their employees employed? ugh. honestly though i don't know anything about it.

that's not true. most of my friends bought an xbone (actually at this point i think it is divided between that and Ps4) but I would never see myself purchasing a microsft console. ever since i was 7 or 8 years old i've been playing playstation. i'm not a fan of halo, although if i grew up on xbox i might've been, but i recognize that it is probably the 3rd or 4th most iconic video game franchise ever after mario pokemon, and maybe zelda. it's always a system seller. it always sells better than anything on playstation. the halo collection will shift many xbones, and with nothing on the Ps4 to compete with it, it's definitely going to close the gap some.

again... idc if ALL of my friends got xbones, i still wouldn't. in fact, last semester, when my friend bought his xbone, that is actually wat influenced me to do the opposite... which was purhcase my first ps4.

There is nothing wrong with having issues with Sony. I do. I do wish they would get on some of these things, but they are not extremely important to me right now. And really....Sony being behind almost the entire lifespan of hte PS3 did not stop my love of it. And nor should it for X1 fans. The numbers don't mean much. As long as both are making money and continuing they need each other. If it was not for MS, Sony would have been a disaster last generation, and MS would have been this generation.

But the thing is your worries are small. Don't let it worry you. Sony has a lot going for it. So does MS. But I don't think one is going to wipe one off the face of the earth. No your posts have not influenced me to buy and X1.

I want an X1 in the future because I think MS has really gotten back on the course they were with the original Xbox. I think they are making the changes I've wanted to see them make for some time.

its draining having the same stuff derail this (and the X1) thread. It wasn't like this till a few weeks ago. Its repetitive, goes nowhere and takes away from the primary focus, which should be the individual systems. You may want to resurrect this thread as this was all about MS vs Sony

Let's say I don't like Destiny. I can sell it for full price.

Or, let's say four months from now, I want to get 30 bucks. I can sell it.

Or I want to give it a friend, as a gift, or just to let him play it.

It matters. That's why the Xbone bundle is cheaper.

yeah, sony being behind the majority of the 7th generation didn't stop my support for it, but every single year I still hoped they would close the gap more & more & eventually outsell the 360 (they were able to achieve the former) but it really broke my heart that they lost all those 3rd party exclusives. i really wish they did more to secure them. gone are the days that 3rd party exclusives were even a thing, but they were huge in the 6th generation, especially on Ps2.

i think microsoft's got more going for it than sony. i wish they stuck with their drm policies. in hindsight we would then have 2 pretty different consoles, you know? and with you mentioning wanting to get an xbone in the same sentence of me talking **** about sony made it look like I had some sort of influence
