Anyone think the PS4 will go on sale for Christmas? I'm planning on buying a second one (for my wife) and hoping I can find one on sale.

There's already been various sales for months so yes

The PS4 and PlayStation Vita will officially be launched in China very early next year.
Sony will release the machines on January 11th priced at CY 2,899 (£299) and CY 1,299 (£134) respectively. The PS4 will include a 500GB HDD and controller while it appears the Vita will only include the 1GB of internal memory and not an additional card.
70 third party publishers and developers are on board to deliver content to the region, with a handful of Chinese titles having already been confirmed – King of Wushu (Suzhou Snail Digital), Mr Pumpkin Adventure (Shanghai Youju) and One Tap Hero (Shanghai Kena).
Chinese companies Modian and Shanghai Oriental Pearl Culture Development will be at hand to support Chinese devs through the process of producing PS4 games in the region.
A number of Western devs are signed up to the Chinese program, too, including EA, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Warner Bros, Disney, Bethesda, Codemasters, CD Projeckt, Focus, Halfbrick and Nordic Games.
“PS4 is expanding at the fastest rate in PlayStation hardware history, and the global gaming community is enjoying the ultimate entertainment experience only available on PlayStation,” SCE president and CEO Andrew House said.
“We are delighted that we are able to fully launch our business in China, which is a market with great potential. We look forward to delivering exciting software, convenient services and entertainment experiences only possible on PlayStation to the many gamers in China.”
Xbox One, which launched in China back in September, costs CY 3,699 (£380) for the vanilla version and CY 4,299 (£443) for the Kinect SKU.

It will be interesting to see which console will be more dominant in China.

Anyone download the 20th anniversary theme? I love the fact that they incorporated the original Playstation intro song. It brought a smile to my face :)

I downloaded it the moment I read it had the PS1 boot up theme, it always makes me smile to turn on my PS4 now and hear it. I wish it was louder though. The PS1 is still my favorite game console after all these years.

November sales I'm guessing. Wouldn't Playstation be blue though?

Picked up The Crew the other day probably won't have time to pop it in until the weekend *sigh*.

Im ready to upgrade my HDD. I have a few questions

Is 2tb, the largest HDD the PS4 can take?

Am I reading correctly in that there is no way to backup to an external HDD and then restore? Has Sony addressed this issue at all?

Are saves the only thing I should be concerned about backing up to take over? Will cloud saves automatically download to my HDD?

Should I delete my old HDD before I remove?

I think I've read some people say that 3tb (or 2.5 I'm not sure) are out there, but I have no idea if that's legit or not, I have no idea, even if it was I'd imagine them being hard to find and expensive. I think like the PS3, the main requirement is the 2.5inch drive.

What exactly are you trying to restore in the swap? I don't know about external HDD's on the PS4 but I do use USB to back up my saves and copy over share videos (but good God Sony has to work on the write speed on USB in Share. It takes like 45min to transfer something like a 250mb video to USB. It's insanity.). Since my PS4 was new with nothing on it when I upgraded the HDD our situations are a little different so I can't really give any extra advice on that. But if you're talking about saves/captures (which are honestly like the only 2 things transferable right now on the system through USB), a USB stick should be fine. Game data installs pretty quickly and I don't know if you'd be able to back that stuff up anyways.

I don't think cloud saves automatically download to your PS4 when you hook everything back up or not. But if you go to App Saved Data Management -> Saved Data in Online Storage you can start the process of downloading everything uploaded to the cloud onto your new HDD pretty easily there. But yeah, I'd upload everything to the cloud, and at the same time copy over to USB too as an extra backup
Should I delete my old HDD before I remove?
Again, our situations are different so I can't really say. But I imagine it would save you the trouble of having to hook your old HDD up to format it in case you tried to sell it later on. So if it were me, then yeah I'd just go ahead and format it. Once everything is backed up on USB and/or uploaded to the cloud you don't have much to worry about. The only thing that might annoy some people are reinstalling most of their games but oh well. Everything else is of course tied to your PSN so not much to worry about in losing games or anything.

Here's a guide from IGN that should help as well (http://www.ign.com/wikis/playstation-4/How_to_Replace_a_PS4_Hard_Drive)
yes, that damn pie chart was november sales.
Which is which on the chart and why just post a picture with no context? Ha. I remember reading something about X1 winning November but I still don't know what that chart was :hehe:

Well everything. Id rather not have to redownload all my games and patches. Also settings such as user accounts, passwords for them and various services, etc.... On the PS3, you could backup the entire drive and restore it, bypassing that.
