Comics The Official ROGUE Discussion Thread

*kicks CanCan and Darth* The X-Men ALWAYS WIN IN THE END...unless they're Jean, and then they die.

But come back eventually.

Hell, alot of X-Men have done that.

Well, yeah.

Still, I'm calling it, the AXM will have absolutely *nothing* to do with the team's "victory". Nothing, nada, zip.

Thus me being somewhat irked at their cameos. They'll just show up because Carey is going all fanboy/ecstatic about this whole showdown with the Brotherhood. :whatever:

At least there's a bloody point to the beatings they take in their own book. :woot:

This is the Rogue thread so let's get back to her. If you want to go the way of comparison, all that can be conceded is that Gambit has been in more morally challenging situations. But as @Jean Grey said, Gambit and Rogue have both done things wrong and super heroes don't have to be saints. I find them both equally wonderful. And if Rogue has anything to say about it, the X-Men will come out on top. But enough people, get back to Rogue.

*shrugs*

All I said was that I have a problem with what they're doing to one another, not with the characters themselves.

Considering all that talk about her getting closer and closer to rock bottom in the next year, I sincerely doubt she'll save the day or have a huge part in the team's "victory".

Nice going, Darth, you pissed off Emmy.

I agree. Rogue isn't the kind of girl who'd take to "losing".

I would, however, like to see her hit rock bottom, emotionally and physically. She gets close sometimes, but she always buoys. I'd like to see what she'd do if she was truly desperate and without anywhere to turn for help.

We'd see a whole new side of her then, me thinks.

Oh, please. It's so easy it's not even funny. And the funniest thing is, I wasn't even gunning for that. :woot:

I know that. Still, what the hell does that have to do with her prevailing in the next arc? :woot:

It means SHE NEVER SURRENDARS!!!!!

(I mispelled that on purpose for pronunciation)

Yeah, well, so did Gerard Butler in 300 and look how *that* turned out. Not always is there a direct correlation between courage and Pwnage. :woot:

I've already gathered the fact that you don't suck at grammar. Oh, and yeah, it actually was funny with the caps and all. :woot:

Exactly, and let's not even mention how she almost got killed by Belladonna
over him :whatever:

She dragged him out of paradise.

She left him in Antarctica to die because of his involvement in the Mutant Massacre, but has pretty effectively ignored the crimes of other "allies."

I'd say she owes him one. Or ten.

Eh.

Asked whether any of Remy's indiscretions could top the "dragged him out of paradise", but I'm still waiting for an answer. :woot:

I meant in a 'jerking Rogue around' capacity :woot:

Not 'trying to do the right, but being a complete moron about it and ending up doing the exact opposite' :woot:

...and ended up becoming a NO-AGENT...

ROFL. I'm not arguing the Rogue vs. Gambit issue anymore.

Just makes us all fight and I adore you all too much to do such a thing...

I still love Rogue more than Gambit though, but I think that's a girl thing. Boys tend to love Gambit, and girls tend to love Rogue. A gender-issue, if you will.

...and ended up becoming a NO-AGENT...

But at least he gave the X-men an amusing story to tell on nights when the power goes out at the mansion.

"Hey Gambit! Tell us about the time you joined a genocidal madman and got a gimp suit and fart powers out of it!"

:oldrazz:

And here's Emmymae. I didn't have an angry faces inserted into my post. No one agrees with me about Romy anyhow, so enough of this debate.:csad: They really do love each other.

I think Rogue could handle rock-bottom better than most. She's a smart girl, and if she's learned anything from Gambit (the code name means strategy), it's how to get out of impossible situations. Though Rogue has a few tricks of her own.

What do you think about Rouge's new look in the X-Men previews? I feel bad for her.

I don't think I'd call it a new look, I don't think her face will stay busted, she is still just injured.

It looked like she was flying without the Sunfire powers in the #199 previews.

...what happened to her?

*has not seen current or future issues yet*

*YOU DAMN SPOILERS*

YOU NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR ME...

But I love you anyways.

ROFL.

Thanks!
