Of course Carey made the team in such a manner that he could push Rogue to the forefront. Of course he put those characters in for other reasons as well, y'know, maybe because he likes them?

All we're saying is one shouldn't have to try *that* hard to promote the idea of a leader in so little time. The subtext here would be that character wasn't really that good of a choice but the author wanted it badly.

Calling Mike on it is just us being rational. We're not asking for him to be strung up by his intestines or anything. t:

Once again, all we're saying is that many potentially bad guys in a super-hero team defies the parameters of common sense. And we never said the book sucked or wasn't entertaining. It's just that those not aknowledging the fact it's more of a fanfic writer's wet dream than what should be in canon are, well, kidding themselves.

Admit it, enjoy it. Everyone does it with AXM. What's the problem with doing so for Carey and Adjectiveless? If anything, that's us being sensible and fair.

I love what Carey has done so far. As far as Bad guys trying to act good...I dunno. I like the fact that a character, like Rogue, can go from bad to good but the thing is - you gotta mean it. I mean are Sabertooth and Mystique REALLY trying to be good......I seriously doubt it. Even with Lady Mastermind - look at her language and attitude.....doesnt look like she really cares about the good guys.

Characters like Juggernaut confuse me. I mean back in the day he was just a strong dude that couldnt think for himself - now, not so much. His growth as a character is a good thing - I just dont think he fits in.

I still do not like Emma Frost - guess its just what she has done in the past that makes me not want to trust her. During the Gen X thing you always were wondering when she would turn on the team....thats the same feeling I have for her in Astonishing.

This is only the first chapter in the story that will be resolved in #207. Apparently Rogue's

OMG! Sexy attitude? Does this mean it's safe to assume
Carey plans on changing her costume?
I mean it's not like I have a problem with her new costume,
but I can't imagine her being sexy under all those clothes.
Also, do you mind maybe telling me where he said this?
I mean I read where he mentioned Rogue being
in a totally new place by issue # 207, but I didn't know
he planned on making her back the way she was w/ Carol's powers.
I wonder if she'll lose her Sunfire powers and gain some new ones,
or keep them in addition to the ones she has.
The suspense is killing me.
