I was thinking the samething on that issue *spoiler*. I might have to see it again. I agree this movie will make its budget by weekend and then some.Yes, just as soon snowballs fights are going on in hell; and those series where never anywhere near SAW level to begin with, quality or success.
That comparison is about as absurd as people that are shortsighted enough to insist that films (SAW III in particular) have nothing to offer but violence.
Oh, and btw.
Hoffman is NOT the new Jigsaw, if that's what you thought by the end of the film, than you missed the actual twist.
The entire point of showing the autopsy scene at the end was to establish that Hoffman was indeed NOT the new Jigsaw, and that we would find out who was in the next film as they tested him.
You'll still see it so don't kid yourself, and ya make it sound like its the end of the world by not using spoilers. Movie is out now so go see it its not bad at all. Just future reference to avoid the little spoilers is to avoid the thread all together until after you've seen it.couldnt post early , i was busy in class...but im ****ing pissed about the lack of spoiler tags on the ending...im not even gonna spend my money now...thanks alot.
Agreed. This movie will be pretty close to making its budget back by tomorrow.

Being a huge fan of the first three films, I had a little lower expectations coming into watching "Saw IV."
"Saw IV" is a great movie, like the first three. But out of the four, it's definitely the weakest. But it might be the goriest one, with a couple of new traps that are pretty shock-inducing and pretty amazing at the same time.
The first three did a good job of closing plot holes and opening new ones. You can tell after watching IV that they are getting ready to close and end this franchise somewhere. But there will definitely be a Saw V.
It does leave some plot holes from Saw III still open at the end of the movie. But some very interesting developments occur.
Possibly the most important thing we learn in IV is the origin of Jigsaw, why he is what he is. It's quite tragic, and very sad.
A well done movie, but again, missing plot holes and leaving ones unsolved or unexplained weaken the movie. It's still worth watching.
Even though my expectations were lower coming into this one than compared to II and III, I still love the movie, even though it has its faults. It definitely beat my expectations, though. The greatest horror series of this decade is still great, but this one is at the bottom of the list.
8/10
I guess you can call the saw movies that.^ These movies will never flop. This is the new age 'A Nightmare on Elm Street.' People love these movies.
If the most psychologically and emotionally driven of the III (the first was the least in both departments) is your idea of "bad enough," yes indeed.
